Rosemary Potatoes with Roasted Heads of Garlic

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
Very easy recipe. I used russet potatoes because that's what I had on hand and I also cut the recipe in half, as I was only cooking for four people. I did not have any fresh rosemary so I did a quick online search to find the dried equivalent. The site I found said 1/2 tsp was equivalent to one sprig of rosemary. I was also cooking this along side a roasted chicken (each in their own roasting pan) so I cooked them at the temp and time for the chicken (350 degrees for 1 hr 15 mins)and they were cooked perfectly. I found the potatoes needed just a little more flavour, but these were a VERY god roasted potato with our roast chicken and steamed asparagus.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2010
Don't even know if the roast taste good yet. Had to come on here right away and say something. I baked a 2lb 1 ounce roast for one hour as indicated. Would have been cooked perfectly if I was cooking a beef prime rib roast. Almost completely raw in the middle at one hour

Maple Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
great and easy recipe I choose to use an extra 1/4 tsp of maple extract otherwise the cookies themselves can kind of over power the cream flavour. Cookies stay nice and chewy. Just remember to remove the cookies from the sheet while warm.

Gluten-Free Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
this recipe is easy and comes out fine. As far as other people's comments as to this not turning out like true soda bread, I really don't know anything about that, but the bread is delicious and sweet.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
amazing. The regular recipe works out easily and well. I did take everyones advice with the lemon juice and flour though (2/3 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice with an additional tbsp of flour). Also I only use 1 cup of sugar in the filling. I sell these at a market and people rave about them. Once I increased the lemon and decreased the sugar everyone told menot to change it again, that combo was perfect. Tastes like actual lemon bars, not that yellow gunk from the stores. I think the people that complain about this recipe are only looking for those kinds of lemon products and don't really know what lemon really tasts like

Sugar-Free Raisin Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
recipe works out very well and is very easy and simple. However I cut the amount of sweetener and it was still too much. Common with many recipes on here though. Good one for sure though

Mom's Pretzels

very simple recipes and it works very well. Just very time consuming I find. Also, be very careful not to bump the preztels in the slightest amount, otherwise they will flatten out.

Apple Coffee Cake With Brown Sugar Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Delicious I like to use different flavours of yogurt to replace the sour cream. You don't have to at all, this recipe is fantastic, but it gives you more flavour and aroma options. Blueberry is a good one. I sell at markets and as soon as I open up the container the smell really hits the shoppers. Followed everyones advice for baking time. First time I went for the 45 minutes and it wasn't completely cooked in the middle (still really good like that though). Second time for an even hour and it was perfect.
