Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
I made this today and did not have any problems with the dough running or being too sticky. I made no changes to the recipe at all and it turned out great. I did not give this recipe five stars for one big reason. Ciabatta bread is supposed to be light and airy (like a sponge). This bread is a little dense. I would make it again because it is delicious, but I would not call it a true Ciabatta bread.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
I wish I could say these were really good but they just didn't appeal to my taste buds. I followed the directions exactly. They did come out soft but I could taste the vanilla pudding mix in the flavor of the cookie and did not like it. The texture was that like a cake. I also didn't think there was much flavor at all. The kids like them just fine though.

Excellent! No one in my family likes cheesecake except for me. So, I ate the whole thing and loved every bit of it.

Spiced Baked Apples

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
I left out the orange peel but it came out great! Add some vanilla ice cream and your good to go. As others have said, the apple is soft if you let it cook for 50 minutes instead of what the recipe mentions. Thanks!

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
The only thing I added was 1 tablespoon of Vanilla to the saucepan of brown sugar and butter. It gives it a wonderful aroma and that extra something for flavor. Everyone in the family loves it so much. Thanks!

Microwave Pralines

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
These were very easy and quick to make. They also taste very good. I like mine to be soft and more creamy and these were a little very sticky and chewy. Be careful if you have fillings in your teeth. They are still quite good though. Thanks for sharing!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
Incredible! Instead of making this in a cake pan, I made 24 cupcakes. I made the recipe with the changes that the previous reviewer "gneebeanie" used and it turned out excellent! It's moist, and very flavorful. I used 3.5 cups of powdered sugar instead of 4 for the frosting and it's just the right taste. The whole family loves it and I will use this recipe from now on when making my carrot cake! It's much better tasting than anything you buy in a store bakery and better than any box mix. Thanks so much for sharing.

Asian Ginger Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
I did not like this as a salad dressing but it's not bad as a marinade for chicken or steak. I think it calls for too much soy sauce but if you cut that in half and add a little extra honey, it's fine. Thanks for sharing.

Famous Japanese Restaurant-Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
Most Japanese restaurants I've tried out seem to have their own version of this dressing. Some are great while others are not so much. So, I thought I'd give this recipe a try. It was my first time making any dressing. I have to say that this particular recipe is pretty good with a couple changes. I put in half the amount of onions called for, added 1 1/2 carrots, and a little extra sugar. I also let it sit overnight in the fridge as it didn't taste so great warm. After chilling overnight, it has a wonderful flavor and I can't wait to serve it to guests in the future. Thanks for posting your recipe!
