G's Tres Leches Cake

This is one of the best cakes I have ever had! I substituted coconut milk for the evaporated milk, but otherwise made this exactly as written. Excellent summer dessert, and even better the longer it sits.

Chef John's Santa Maria-Style Beans

The flavor of these beans was great! I did make a couple changes - I used two cans of pinto beans, drained and rinsed, instead of the dried beans. I also skipped the mustard, but added a little tomato paste at the end to thicken the sauce a bit. The chipotle powder adds a nice heat to these!

Country Sunday Breakfast Casserole

This was great! Like others, I left out the green onions because we have some picky eaters in the house, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. The recipe doesn't specify, but you should definitely make sure to thaw the hash browns before putting them in the casserole.

Chicken Tikka Masala

This really does taste like the tikka masala at my favorite Indian place, IF you drastically reduce the salt. I only use 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper in the marinade and it's still plenty hot. I also love to slow cook this, minus the cream, after marinating - makes the chicken so tender! Then I add the cream near the end of the cooking time.

Like other reviewers, I used pizza crust and microwaved the pepperoni first to make this less greasy. I also added hot capicola. Excellent - made great leftovers the next day too!
