Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
I used Bisquick for the mix. Used approximately 1 cup of the regularly shredded Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese (pre-shredded in the bag). Added 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder to the mix. Melted the original 1/4 cup butter and added 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt and brushed on both before and after baking (I'd suggest adding a little bit of garlic salt at a time and keep taste-testing until it suites your salt tastebuds!) I made 12 biscuits out of the original 10 serving recipe and put them on parchment paper to bake. I baked at 425 degrees for 11 minutes and they did not burn or stick. With these changes, I fell in love! Thanks for a great new recipe!!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I loved the flavor of this pot roast! I followed the recipe completely other than using beef broth instead of water to be able to make delicious gravy at the end. I felt that 8 hours was the perfect time for this. Others have said to wait to add the vegtables until half way through, but I don't think they would have been as good if I would have done that. I used whole baby carrots, onions cut into fourths, and largely cubed russet potatoes. I thought they were the perfect texture with having simmered the entire time. Just a very little crunch but soft enough to melt in your mouth. I'd recommend adding them at the beginning if you like your veggies soft!

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
These were delicious! This was the first time I've ever heard of or attempted them, and it surely won't be the last. I made them with Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast from this site and they complimented it so well! I didn't add salt, and I still think they served their purpose completely. I used two eggs, 1 cup flour, and 1 cup of milk. I spooned an even teaspoon of bacon grease into 6 muffin cups (made a half batch), and they were perfectly golden crispy on the outside and soft and hollow in the inside in 30 minutes. YUM! I will definitely be making these again!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
YUM! Used bacon bits instead of fresh bacon and added green onions on top with the cheese, which I personally think made the dish even more spectacular. Add a bit of sour cream on top when finished, and these are perfect. Thanks for sharing!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I always get nervous when trying new recipes, but I had a craving for this kind of dip and decided to give this one a chance based on the high rating. I absolutely loved it, along with every single person who tried it. Everyone kept coming back for more. One of my guests honestly said "it's like a little taste of heaven". This is a great recipe that I will be making again! The garlic is a tad strong, but when I commented that I might cut back on it next time, my sister said "Don't change a thing, it's too good how it is!!" I did use the whole 8 oz package of cream cheese, and I'm really glad I did. Delicious!!
