I love to cook. I'm never able to follow a recipe though. I cannot seem to restrain myself from changing the recipe to how I think it should be or experimenting with different ingredients or amounts. It usually turns out pretty good though (and most specificaly to my taste)

kubasa with potatos and vegetables, tator tot cassarole, anything with potatos (I love potatos)

on easter: my mother's wonderful potato salad and my grandmother's wonderful fried/baked chicken

I can cook the most mouthwatering mashed potatos :)
My cooking tragedies
I can cook eggs now, but it wasn't too long ago that I couldn't cook eggs at all, not even boiling them.

Lemon Honey Glazed Carrots
Very good. I sliced three regular size carrots into 1/8th inch rounds and used the recipe set to 1 serving. I also didn't have lemon juice so I used about an 1/8th of a teaspoon of lemon extract. The honey and lemon gave it a pleasant sweet taste and not at all overpowering. Will definately be cooking this again.

Stupid Simple Roast Chicken
This was my first time cooking a whole chicken and it was fantastic! Instead of putting lemon halves inside I decided to do a bread stuffing (also a first for me). For the stuffing I used some leftover artisan bread that had gotten hard, a diced mushroom, diced an eight of a large onion, and some rosemary and garlic powder. For the outside of the chicken I didn't use kosher salt, instead used rosemary and garlic salt from one of those season grinders (kinda like the sea salt grinders). Again, it turned out fantastic! I'm boiling the leftover bones to make chicken and dumplings or chicken noodle soup.
