I followed another review adding cream (2 tbls) and thyme just before turning the stove off and it was amazing. That is huge for me as i have hated mushrooms with a passion since childhood. so extremelly happy and can't wait to share the recipe. THANKYOU

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
My 2nd ever Turkey and i was so happy with it. We're in Australia and it was only a small Chritmas so had a 9 pound turkey. I followed all the instructions and it was perfect, i was so so proud and really enjoyed it. I served with Mashed potatoes, gravy which was awesome and a Balsamic mediteranian raosted vege salad. It was all perfect, the hardest thing was cutting veges. I will absolutely use this as my Turkey recipe, keep my American husband happy. Thanks

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
My husband is American and missing home at Christmas so i decided to bake and decorate some cookies. They turned out exactly as i wanted them too. 1 extra cup sugar but no extra vanilla, for me they are perfect. Only bad thing is its so hot in Australia at the moment, so Christmas baking is a bit of hot work. But these are worth it.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Excellent dish, made changes to suit our taste. First cut the potatoes into qtrs and boiled for 10 mins before putting into dish, this gives a softer centre with crispy out. Used fresh Rosemary & Time as the recipe calls for, but cut down amount. Added crushed garlic to the dressing, also added a head of Garlic with tip cut of for roasting. Added lots of mediteranian veges which were perfect. Loved the dressing, used a thicker Balsamic syrup which is also a little sweeter. As with any roast vege dish that has different types of veges they obvisouly will take different cooking times, unless cut to suit. Beautiful

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
Beautiful pie, i'm so happy with the results. as others suggested i boiled in stock, added the spices to the stock and then used to make the gravy. when making the gravy i doubled the recipe and added fresh mushrooms. i didn't have enough pastry so only topped the pie. I'm unsure how much of the spices etc i used in the gravy as i kept adding until i loved the taste. A beautiful winter pie i will definetly make again
