Steak And Onions
This ended up really good... followed recommendation to add olive oil to salt mixture. Also cooked the steak in butter. Lovely!

Butternut Squash Supreme
I sauteed the onions for a few minutes, as per other reviewers, and added some BACON. Yummy! In my opinion the bacon made the recipe. My family really liked it. I'm not a huge squash fan and I definitely don't like it mushy or super sweet. This was very good, but I think next time I will try adding another egg. I will report back if It turns out well. I am thinking of serving this for thanksgiving....Reporting back--I did make it for Thanksgiving dinner last year and everyone liked it (including my brother who said he wouldn't usually eat squash, but ate all of his). Multiple people asked for the recipe. I am making it again tonight. Also, for those of you who have a Costco membership, in the fall you can find cubed butternut squash, ready to use, in the produce section.

Chicken Tikka Masala
This recipe was a hit!!! I had company yesterday and served this because I knew it was a family favorite for them. It is also one of my favorite dishes, so it was a good excuse to make it. I was a bit worried that the dish wouldn't live up to expectations, but everyone loved it... I did make a few modifications as suggested in some of the other posts. I reduced the amount of cayenne to about 1/4 of what the recipe called for, and used a small jalapeño. I didn't want too much heat because I was serving children. I thought it was perfect. Just enough heat to make it interesting but not enough to bother anyone. The only thing I think I will do differently next time is reduce the salt by just a bit. I will definitely use this recipe again.
