Dale's Swedish Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
Sounds like a good receipe but everyone is forgetting the true taste of the Sweden meatball, add nutmeg. Yes that's right, freshly grated prefered. I usually add 1/2 teaspoon to 1lb of ground beef or more to your likng. You will be amazed at the taste. Also add some to the gravy, start small and experiment as the flavor can over power the dish. You'll never make it again without this ingredient.

Famous Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
Believe it or not but I used Flounder instead of chicken because I could not find no other recipe I really like and this one did it for me. I cannot tell you how D-Lish this was. My husband and I wished we had a pound of fish after we ate it. I listened to the readers who advised the double dip method-flour,egg and then flour again. I sauteed it in butter and olive oil and it cooked up quick, golden and wonderful-restaurant quailty. Try it and you will NOT be disssapointed

Smashed Potatoes

Absolutely fabulous! Very easy and oh so tasty. Twice baked means you get that little crunch on the top of the potato and as the cook said adjust the seasonings to suit your taste

Grilled Pork Chops with Fresh Nectarine Salsa

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
Very tasty and refreshing. I followed the receipe as is. My pork chops may have been a little tough but I think that was my fault perhaps I overcooked them.

Spanikopita

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
This was fabulous. I added some additions as per readers advice. Sauteed onions and garlic in oilve oil. In same pan I added the two packages of defrosted spinach after I squeezed out the excess liquid. Then added 1/4 teaspoon of fresh nutmeg. This recipe made 40 pices. Very time consuming to assemble so make before hand if you plan on this for company. Freezes terrrific.

Zucchini Parmigiana

Even better when you add slices of fresh tomatos in season like Jersey Beefsteaks. Also fresh grated nutmeg and fresh parsley in the ricotta adds that restaurant quality taste!

Spinach Quiche

I happened to have some leftover grilled vegtables from the night before, tomatos, onion, red potato, asparagus and peppers-unbelievable flavor. Thanks for a great receipe, my company that morning loved it!

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2013
Terrific!! Like most others I omitted the hominy only because this is not an ingredient I am familiar with since I live in the north east. Also I do not like Cilantro like some other, to me it has a soapy taste. I also flavored it up a bit with cumin & hot sauce and of course a dollop of sour cream upon serving. This recipe freezes great!
