Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
This is how I cook my bacon only I don't use thick sliced and I put my oven at 425 because it gets crispier...and I find turning it once helps both sides to be crispy....It's easy and you can just throw away the foil....

French Crepes

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
Very Good recipe I am keeping this one in place of the basic crepe recipes from this site. I let the batter sit in the fridge for 20 min to hour... you will have a more tender crepe.. also I used a 12 inch skillet and 1/2 cup of batter and they were perfect.

Chicken Tortilla Soup III

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2006
WOW I was disapointed. Not what I was looking for. I have been trying to find a recipe like the soup I get in resturants but this wasnt it. It was like corn chowder with chicken and spices. Very watery and a unappealing pinky color.

Cheese Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2002
This was good and very versatile you can add anything to it. Like ground beef and tomatoes, tuna and peas, chicken and salsa and corn, whatever you want, but it's good just the way it is. Very filling, cheap and easy to make. My kids loved it. I will make this agagin and again. Just make sure you use spagetti or a thicker noodle I used angel hair and it turn out to be a clumpy mess. I also taught my kids 10,14 how to make this it's just as easy as the box kind, but better for them....

Cheesecake Topped Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2002
VERY GOOD, but very sweet and rich! try omitting the frosting and cut the cheesecake topping into the brownie with a knife before cooking to give it a swirled effect. Or try adding chocolate chips to the cheesecake mixture instead of frosting

Poutine

Reviewed: May 31, 2006
OMG I love poutine and freaked out when I saw this recipe. I like to deep fry fresh fries and I buy poutine gravy from Canada but it is more like chicken gravy then beef and you cant get the correct cheese in th US but cubed white chedder works best. You can buy St. Hubert poutine gravy mix online as well as cheese curd. You have to have it the right way to appreciate it.

Low-Fat Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2007
Superb!!! I doubled the broth and fresh broccoli I didnt put in a blender because I cooked it for 30 min and it was perfect and when i thickened it i used maybe 2/3 of the can of milk. Salt and pepper needed but for the low calories this soup tasted even better than the full fat/calorie version. LOVE IT!! THANKS
