Beginner blogger…seeking advice

Blogger is still not in the dictionary. I don’t blog is either. I still get a red line under those words when I write in Word. Blogs have been around for years, but I’m just catching on. That’s typical; I usually catch on to trends a few years after they’ve been popular.
As you can tell from my profile, I am a new blogger. Should I expect to become addicted?
I’m curious about a lot of things.
How much time do you spend writing and reading blogs?
Is a certain time of day better than another to make a post?
Do you plan your blog posts (write them in Word, maybe think about them) or do you post a fleeting thought as it goes through your mind?
What’s an effective way to get people to read your blog?
I often thing of blogs I want to post while I’m brushing my teeth. It’s a very inconvenient time to write, too messy.
When do you get your blogging inspirations?
