Tempting Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
I just had it for lunch. I made it about 30 minutes before eating and chilled it only for 30 min. I added one fourth of an onion but didn't add salt or pepper. I used all of the apple and one egg and didn't measure the mayo, just two spoonfuls. I toasted bread and let the bread cool slightly before eating. Yum :)

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
These smelled wonderful frying up. They tasted okay but were better with ketchup. However, these were pretty soggy after a while. Eat these fast.

Danish Pastry Apple Bars I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
So yummy! I just had a slice right now hehe. I used butter flavored shortening and the pastry part is sooooo good. I only used 4 apples and thought that that was enough but after baking, the apples shrunk so I would recommend using all 8 but 4 isn't bad :) I also used a very very big teaspoon of cinnamon. It was probably 2 tsp. I also didn't put anything on top since it's got so much sugar already. Thank you for the tasty recipe:)

Whoopie Pies VIII

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I used this recipe for the chocolate cake part but not the filling since I didn't have any confectioner's sugar. I'm eating a whoopie pie as I'm writing this review hehe. These are really good but since I didn't have shortening, never do, I used butter and 1/2 tsp of baking powder. These came out really moist and chocolately :) Yummm

Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2011
I used a different recipe for the cake. I only used the filling recipe because I had no confectioners sugar (which is what the other recipe required) the filling was ok, just a tad flour-y but otherwise it was sweet and fluffy.

Grandpop's Special Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
I converted the recipe to 20 servings and it made a HUGE cake! The taste was phenomenal, it wasn't too sweet and had just the right amount of chocolate. It was really moist and airy. I HIGHLY recommend this recipe!! ****** UPDATE - 11-13-2011 ~ I made this recipe two more times and both times were like the first except that it was moist and dense. But, I noticed that the flavor is a little lacking. It doesn't taste strongly of chocolate. I'm eating a piece right now and the only thing that is saving it is the chocolate frosting on top. I would give this recipe about 2 and a half stars now that I've made it a couple times.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
These were good, and everyone said they were good, but they just didn't rise that much. These resembled thick cookies instead of high rolls. I let them rise twice, two hours at a time but I guess it just wasn't enough. Maybe the yeast was old or something. Overall, the taste was good but the texture and the height wasn't terrific. (Note: I used half white sugar because I ran out of brown but they tasted just fine.)

Garlicky Appetizer Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Delish but it doesn't have enough "sauce" so it's hard to evenly mix with pasta.

Simple 'N' Delicious Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
It was moist... but didn't taste like chocolate at all. Other people said it was good since it was moist and not that sweet but for me, this wasn't a keeper. Also, even though I floured the pans the way the reciped said to, the cakes didn't come out easily at all.

Honey Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
This was really good and my dad kept coming back for more haha. Right out of the oven, it smelt like heaven and was soooooo soft! But the next day, it had turned crumbly. So I guess you gotta eat this one then and there.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
This was really good! It wasn't crumbly or thin. It was soft, SLIGHTY chewy, and just really good. Everyone loved them because they weren't that sweet and had just the right amount of peanut butter. But, I did make only half a batch so your cookies could turn out differently.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
Maybe it was because I used big chicken legs ( it was all I had on hand) and because I baked these following another reveiwer's directions, but these didn't taste like wings from a restraurant at all. Not even the sauce. I might try this again using small wings and frying them next time. But these were a waste of hot sauce.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2010
I had some cream cheese left over so I decided to use it to frost a cake I made. I generally don't like cream cheese but this was really good. Thanks for the recipe!
