Sarah's Applesauce

I used the advice Reviewed on Mar. 8, 2007 by Jules and doubled the recipe and cooked it in my slow cooker for 3-4 hrs. I peeled the apples and tossed them in the cinnamon and sugar and then added them to the slow cooker before cooking. Then I also added a dash of ground cloves just for fun. This recipe is so easy in the slow cooker and the taste is wonderful.

Buttery Herb Wine Sauce

It was definitely salty. I recommend not using the 1 tsp of salt and cutting back on the broth. Maybe 3/4 cup of broth or find a low sodium broth. Other than it being salty, i would also leave out the egg, nless you are quick at making this. This recipe is very time sensitive. If your not quick about adding the egg and watching it on a very low heat, the egg will scramble. The taste is great, just a little too salty.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

I have been making this bread for the last 6 years and it's a hit with everyone. I would recommend this to anyone who is wanting to make pumpkin bread. Hands down the best.

Butternut Squash Soup

I sauteed the onions in margarine and white wine, then added them to the food processor with the squash and blended them also. It's best to roast the squash on a cookie sheet in the oven for 45 mins. at 375. I also added a little brown sugar in with the squash puree just for some extra flavor.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

we had a dinner party tonight and I served this with Orange glazed carrots and mashed potatoes. Everyone was crazy about it and had seconds. This is a must try for ham.
