Strawberry Ice Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
Super creamy, rich, and smooth, this strawberry ice cream exceeded my expectations! I used 4 cups of frozen strawberries which I thawed and they worked perfectly. The ice cream base is great for variations, chocolate, plain vanilla etc. I will be using this recipe from now on!

Ice Cream Base

Reviewed: May 10, 2012
This is the BEST ice cream I have tried on allrecipes! It is smooth, creamy and the vanilla version tastes like creme brulee! Even before I froze it the consistency was like that of super rich vanilla pudding. In the freezer it doesn't freeze super solid but stays scoopable. This it the only recipe I will use for ice cream from now on!

Lemon Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
These cupcakes were a big disappointment. I followed the recipe exactly and I got shrunken, rubbery little cupcakes that had almost no lemon flavor. I really hoped these would be better. I ended up baking vanilla cupcakes and filling them with tangy lemon curd. Much better.

Classic Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This recipe has to be the easiest and tastiest roll recipe ever! I kneaded the dough in my Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook for 5 minutes. If you are using a mixer for kneading, you can usually cut the original kneading time in half. After 20 minutes in the oven I had fluffy, golden-brown picture-perfect rolls. This is the only roll recipe I will use from now on!

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
These pecan pie bars are fabulous! The crust is delicious and buttery and it came together very quickly. For the filling I substituted 1/2 cup of brown sugar to make 1 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown. I also reserved a 1/2 cup of the pecans and sprinkled them over the top of the finished bars along with 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips. The chocolate was perfect and soft but did not lost its shape. This is a keeper for sure!

Frosting for German Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
This frosting is awesome! I always double it and add 4TBS cornstarch. It sets up perfectly! I always add 1 bag of coconut and 1 bag of walnuts. One time I forgot the eggs accidentally, but it turned out great! Tasted the same! So now I don't use the eggs and it still tastes great. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Easy Chocolate Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
This ice cream was pretty good, though not nearly as good as Wendy's Frostys. It had a distictive syrup taste but made it up with its ultra-smooth and creamy consistensy.

Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This carrot souffle is fabulous! It is light and fluffy and delicious! I halved the sugar and it tastes a lot better that way, you can actually taste carrots! The carrots would never get smooth so I processed them in a blender and they were perfect! Love this recipe!

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
This is my first time to taste and make mint chocolate chip ice cream. This is so easy! No cooking involved and the creamiest and mintiest! I added some green food coloring and it looks awesome. I know I will be using this recipe often!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
This is my first attempt at making toffee, and it was incredibly easy and delicious! You wouldn't even know it was made out of saltines! I used 1 sleeve of saltine crackers which barely covered the bottom of my rimmed cookie sheet. This is very easy to make and I found no need for foil, these released perfectly and when sprinkled with pecans were heaven. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This is my favorite pizza crust recipe! Some people like their pizza crust crispy, this is by no means crispy! It is fluffy and soft and to me incredibly delicious! It is really easy and makes two medium sized pizzas. I crank the oven to 425 then after I put the pizzas in I turn it down to 400, to prevent the toppings (onion, pepperoni etc.) from burning.

Orange Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
I made this delicious cake yesterday, and it turned out wonderfully! I baked it for 60 minutes at 325, and cooled it upside down for an hour. I didn't use orange or lemon zest and it had a delicate orange flavor. Delicious!

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
This cream cheese frosting is absolutely perfect! I need a cream cheese icing to ice an Italian creme cake, so I decided on this one. I added one more cup of powdered sugar, and about one cup of sweetened coconut. This was the perfect amount for a 3 layer cake.

Frozen Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
These are so tasty and delicious, and no raw egg! I substituted 1/2 cup of white sugar for some the brown sugar, so it wouldn't be overwhelming. Also, it is essential to add at least a 1/2 tsp of salt, otherwise they are pretty sweet. I keep mine in a gallon bag in the freezer, and they are gone within a week!!

This is delicious and filling, although I thought it was way too sweet! I would definatly decrease the sugar quite a bit, otherwise, delicious!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I followed the advice of another reviewer and baked my two loaves (I halved the recipe) at 325 for about an hour and they were perfect. The cinnamon/sugar coating gives them a slight crunch and delicious spicy undertone. I also added a 1/2 tsp nutmeg to the bread because it heightens the flavor of the cinnamon. This bread is super moist and has a perfect banana/spice flavor.

Coconut Ice Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
My family went nuts over this ice cream! It is the best coconut ice cream ever! It is the perfect amount for a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker and it is so creamy, rich and coconutty! I used 1 cup heavy cream and 1 1/2 cups of half 'n half. I also left the flaked coconut out of the ice cream and toasted it and sprinkled it on top, heaven! It reached soft-serve consistensy in about 20 minutes. Love this recipe!

Rocky Road Ice Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
This is my first homemade ice cream in my new Cuisinart ice cream maker. This is so creamy, smooth and rich! It is very similar to Braum's chocolate frozen yogurt in texture and flavor. I used 2 cups half 'n half and 1 cup heavy cream. I also omitted the vanilla, nuts and marshmallows because I just wanted to chocolate ice cream. I also upped the chocolate by about 2 TBS. It soft set in about 25 minutes and was delicious! This recipe is luscious, rich and smooth.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
These waffles are so good! They are golden brown and crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The batter was pretty thick, and I used a 1/2 cup measuring cup to pour the batter on the waffle iron. I always add about 1 cup of semisweet chocolate chips and they are awesome! Also, any leftover waffles that I have I freeze in sandwich bags to be toasted for breakfast.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
I made these delicious cookies for a cookie exchange and they were wonderful! The dough was rather dry and crumbly but they baked up beautifully and were very similar to sugar cookies. I filled mine with blackberry jam using a 1/4 tsp. to spoon out the jam. Apricot and strawberry jams are next!
