Most of the family liked these, but i wasn't impressed with the sauce. Just too much orange for me maybe.

Great and simple. Don't overcook them and they're extremely moist and fudgy.

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2009
Great taste, but after baking them for an extra 30 minutes they still were too moist. I promise that's possible.

Sadly couldn't get scallops in this terrible little town, but went well with a whitefish.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
Very good, I used the cheesecake pudding as suggested and they turned out well. I had a bit of trouble getting the bottoms not to burn, but that's my own inexperience I'm sure. Only part I didn't love was a touch of an odd after taste.

Takes a bit of time to do it right, but turns out great and I enjoyed it more than bought ice cream cakes.

The Perfect Mai Tai

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2009
A decent drink but not a Mai Tai. I was suspicious at half a gallon of orange juice, but it was still very drinkable. Just not what it's advertised as.

Great recipe, I used big tenderloin steaks and never would have thought pork could turn out that juicy.

Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Not terrible, served over wild rice and roasted asparagus. I'm confused about people saying to double the sauce though. I increased it slightly and had way more than we needed, almost turned it into a soup. I would stick with the original recipe if you want a sauce to accent the great chicken instead of a bowl of milk with chicken in it.

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Great brownies, they ended up a touch dry but that may have been me overcooking them a few minutes. Make sure you mix the brown sugar mix into the eggs slowly. If my little sister hadn't been with me i would have had some sugary scrambled eggs.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Wonderful. I picked this as my first serious undertaking in cooking. I couldn't have been happier with the results. Served with Italian bread from scratch and asparagus, also caramelized some pairs from a previous posters suggestion and they would have been the best part if the lamb wasn't so great.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Great and easy. I blended it per the directions, but i can't see why it was necessary unless you just like washing oil out of a blender. Marinated them overnight and they turned out great. Squeeze the lemon juice fresh, it's worth it.

Tomato Mozzarella Salad with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Great and simple. Use a good vinegar, it compresses the complex flavors and you'll appreciate the difference. I used calamatta olives instead of black to give it an occasional kick as well.

German Sweet Chocolate Pie

I needed something i could throw together fast that everyone would like, and this was perfect. It's a little too sweet and simple for my taste, but for the time invested it was a huge success.
