Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2014
WOW. I love it! This is how Rice a Roni should be, but much better! The flavors of the basil, chicken stock, cheese, and orzo is wonderful. It makes about 4-5 servings. Thank you, I will definitely share this at parties and for our personal meals. A+!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2013
SUPER GOOD. This is a sure-fire recipe, it worked great and tasted creamy. Add the egg SLOWLY and stir constantly. I followed the directions exactly but used dark raisins.

Mud and Worms

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
Adorable, yummy, and fun for kids and adults! My husband and I loved it as well. We used a bigger package instant pudding and added more Oreo crumbs to equal 6 pudding cups. VERY COOL!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2013
A++! Way better than the recipe on the back of the Texas Toast I was using. Perfect amount of flavor: cinnamon eggs and milk! I loved it!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
This was amazing. I used my stand mixer to knead the dough. It turned out perfectly done after 30 mins, soft to the touch and professional! Use PAM with flour for baking spray and the loaves fall out easily!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2013
I'm sorry but I have to agree with the person who said they felt like the beef had to be washed off. I love spice and flavor but this was over the top. Only after I scraped most of the spice-laden crust off did I enjoy the beef again. I'll use my own recipe next time.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2013
There's a reason there are 7,000 reviews. This is the BEST! After eating this easy-to-make meal, I threw out my other two potato soup recipes! I followed the directions exactly but substituted bacon for the ham b/c out ham went bad. A+++++!!

Baked Mozzarella Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
Sadly, I agree with "mmyers168". They didn't crisp and the cheese did ooze out. Some things have to be fried, I guess. This is one of them. Just go for the caloric mozzarella stick and save your calories elsewhere. Will not make again and threw away recipe.

Authentic Pizza Margherita

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
My family including my 7 y.o. son loved this recipe! It is delicious and as good as a restaurant. Follow the directions exactly - just adjust the amount of sauce, you don't want to put too much on. Also, you must use fresh mozzarella for the best flavor! Don't skip the olive oil or the sea salt, they matter, believe me! If it's too dry, add a little more water. If it's too wet, add more flour. A+

Homemade Tomato Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2013
I'm sorry to say this - but I followed the directions to the letter. It was too watery (after de-seeding etc) and was very tasteless. I followed all directions, used fresh basil etc. I was so upset to spend so much time on this and I ended up mixing it with jarred it was so bland and m'eh. :(

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2012
I cut the recipe in half and it made one large, very nice loaf. It took exactly 90 mins to bake! I usually make the recipe word for word, but I only had 1 egg. So I had to use 1 egg and substituted the 2nd egg with a large heaping tablespoon of natural applesauce. No problem - it turned out super fluffy and tasty! I also didn't have nutmeg or ground cloves and it still was yummy. A+ WINNER! Next time I'll make 2 loaves and freeze the other, as half of the loaf is already gone with only 3 people!

Sunday's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
I made this yesterday. The only changes I made were using 3 large apples and it was more than enough filling, and to cut the cinnamon in half (otherwise it's too strong for me). It baked for 45 min and turned out wonderfully! A++ flavor and just the perfect amount of soft apples and spices. We loved it thanks!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2012
I have made this recipe so many times. It is devine! I double the batch and come out with 28 medium pancakes. They freeze well too! You can use egg, but if you're allergic egg replacer powder works fine! It is so pumpkin-y and perfect for fall weather - but I make it year round! YUM - thank you poster!

Traditional Pita Breads

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
I just made these and followed the directions to a T. It was a little waiting game but the result was the freshest, tastiest pitas we've ever tasted; my 6 y.o. ate 2 and wanted more! Thank you!

Blueberry Lemon Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
If the recipe doesn't have yeast, it's not a bread. So I knew that going in and it turned out definitely more cake/coffee cake like. Nonetheless, good! I get headaches when things are too sugary so I did what others did and halved the sugar; and I didn't melt the butter, just soften it. I lightly tossed the blueberries in 1 T. flour, which is a common thing to do. Didn't add glaze, like I said I like limiting the sugars. Took about 75-80 minutes for my new oven. I'd make it again! Only 4 stars b/c it seemed a few percent under done, will cook a little longer next time. :)

Very yummy! I omitted black olives as we don't eat them, but followed all other ingredients to a "T". Very creamy and wonderful...not dry and crispy or hard to eat. Great! Will def. make again, thanks!! :-)

French Toast Corners

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
Great! For one person, I halved it and still had leftovers. Make sure to press down a little during cooking, otherwise it burns before it ever cooks thoroughly. Good and tasty! Triangles are perfect for kids or small hands (like mine).

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
I cut this recipe in 1/2 to make sure it was GOOD first (& We have a small family). It is EXCELLENT. I mean: not okay, not good, not yummy - it's excellent! Yes it is a thin batter when you add the water, but it is so airy & fluffy and moist, it is a true KEEPER! Believe the reviews! :)

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
THIS IS THE BEST FROSTING I HAVE EVER MADE! And I have made quite a few in the last decade! The only change I made was subbed butter for margarine as we don't use it. It's so close to grocery-type frosting I can't believe it! I tried another one "Grocery store frosting" on here and this one beats it hands down!!! A+++ Thank you Kris!!

Eggless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
Very yummy, best P.B. cookie I've made so far! Was very sticky to mix with the electric mixer though. But is worth it & tastes great. Says it makes 24 cookies, I got 52 somehow. Was a LOT of batter. Would make again...hope it freezes well, I have 52 cookies!
