Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
Absolutely fantastic! A little crispy, just chewy enough-perfection. You will have to double up on the cinnamon sugar to roll the cookies in, but other than that, everything's spot on.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Fantastic! The most time consuming part was making the raspberry sauce, I might use jam next time to see if it's worth the extra effort, although given the end result I would gladly do it again. Like suggested, I doubled the Oreo crust, I might 1 1/2 it next time, I also used slightly more white chocolate, as there were only a few chips left in the bag after measuring it out-I melted the chips in the microwave instead of using a double boiler. Will definitely make again

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
Delicious! I only used one package of cream cheese for a meatier dip and used a blend of mozzarella and cheddar-I also boiled and shredded 3 chicken breasts. Easy and delicious, I'm sure it would be just as tasty as written, I just prefer more chicken and less "dip"

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
Delicious, easy and impressive. What more could you ask for? Do add a dash of salt (or sub garlic with garlic salt). Wonderful recipe

Dawn's Easy Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Delicious. As much as I hate it when people change everything and review anyway, I'm going to do it. I used chocolate cake mix with a dash of vanilla and made the icing as is-with food coloring, but without the coconut. They were fantastic and team colored for the Superbowl, my team lost, but the cookies were a huge hit-I'm so excited to try them with different mixes-and I think I've got a new go-to cream cheese icing recipe.

Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Super easy and delicious. So yummy my husband gave most of it away so that he wouldn't eat it all (he's always watching his boyish figure). I will definitely be making this often, next time I think I'll double the recipe and maybe do a light glaze even though it really didn't need it.

Teena's Overnight Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Awesome biscuits! Pretty easy too. On par or better than any biscuit I have ever had at a restaurant. Teena, whoever you are, thank you

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2011
Delicious! I used 1/2 tsp nutmeg instead of the full 3/4 tsp and thought they were absolutely perfect. Mine didn't puff up, but I don't care-they tasted fantastic. I did 1/2 in the cinnamon sugar and the other 1/2 in a glaze-both were awesome (if you glaze them, set them on wax paper so they don't stick and rip). Now I just have to go buy another mini muffin pan so I can double the recipe :)

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
Easy and delicious! I don't think I'll ever use another recipe for drop sugar cookies. Even with substituting baking powder and soda for the cream of tartar they were fantastic. I admit I was a little nervous when the dough came together so crumbly (think pie crust) but they turned out perfectly and disappeared quickly.

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Easy and delicious! I followed the advice of the reviewer that says to stick the prepped cookies in the refrigerator for about a half hour-they came out lovely. I've tried them with vanilla and almond extracts and they both turned out well (although I personally prefer the vanilla). Awesome little cookies, and everyone thinks you're a genius.

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
These were delicious. I made the recipe as written and didn't find them too sweet-although I think next time I might increase the lemon juice to 1/3 cup just for a smidge more tartness. Definitely much better than other recipes I've tried, and easy too-the crust was perfection.

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
Delicious, cookie-like granola bars. I subbed in 1/3 cup whole wheat flour for the all purpose to make it healthier but other than that I didn't make any changes. I'm looking forward to trying other dried fruits in place of the raisins and maybe adding some seeds or nuts.

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
I thought these were okay. I found them a little bland-maybe because I left out the chocolate chips? Maybe a little vanilla or extra cinnamon would help? My mom liked them and so did my 2 year old, but my husband and I didn't care for them much.

Irene's Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
Great sauce. I didn't have any Worcheshire sauce, so I threw in a dash of A1 instead. It had a little more bite than I'd like, so I added a couple tablespoons of applesauce and the result was perfection. I'll definitely double (or triple) the recipe in the future so I can apply it more liberally. I slow cooked a brisket in diluted sauce then topped with more sauce and it was amazing. Can't wait to barbeque with it.

Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Good frosting. I thought it was better when I tasted it before adding the hot fudge topping, next time I think I will stop at this point for a richer, fudgier taste. Still very good frosting.

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Delish. I made some changes. I followed another reviewers shortcut and subbed roast beef for steak. I used a little more onion, a little less peppers. Seasoned with pepper, oregano and basil and melted some of the shredded mozzarella in the pan with the beef mix before putting it on the mayo-ed bun, then topped provolone slices before putting it in the oven. I'm not sure I'll ever buy another cheesesteak-until my next trip to Philly anyway.

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
Easy and delicious. Be sure to dissolve the cornstarch in water and not dump it into the mixture (my stupid mistake, I know) or it will clump and affect the texture. I served it with beignets and it put them over the top. I will never buy blueberry syrup again.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Great bisciuts and easy to make. Light and fluffy, made them even healthier by substituing canola oil for the butter and they were still good so I know this recipe is a keeper.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
Delicious. I think they're more like a handheld crisp or cobbler than a cookie. I used a triple berry jam, and greased my foil with butter Crisco and I think it helped give it a rich buttery flavor. Next time I'll be sure to press the top layer in a little more firmly so it doesn't crumble and will probably use a little bit more jam. I think I'll give wheat flour a try and maybe use this as a healthyish alternative to brownies for the kids.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Tasty. Not exactly what comes to mind when I think of a cobbler, but pretty good. I made 1 1/2 the amount of crust as recommended, and will have to remember to add some cornstarch to the blueberries to thicken it up next time. I think I'll use the recipe for the crust to make a shortcake sometime, I think it'll be perfect for that.
