Easy Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Perfect as is. Don't make any changes. I've even used an egg substitute once and didn't have any problems (flaxseed meal + water).

Glazed Mint Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
My favorite dessert ever is the Mint Brownie from Whole Foods. THIS TOPS THAT! Tip: Refridgerate the finished product long enough to cut them easier, then freeze half to aid self-control! Per suggestions, I used boxed brownies. I used the Kroger brand basic brownies, spread them onto a 11x7 dish and baked them for slightly longer. Then I followed the recipe for the filling and glaze to a tee. They are to-die-for!!! I will never pay $2.50 for another whole foods brownie when this whole batch probably cost me $2. AMAZING!!! The hubby and I can't stop eating them.

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
Love it! I used Labbatt Blue Light and it tasted great! Next time I am going to experiment with a Hard Cidar, I think. I hope that works! (Remember to use FRESH baking powder, if it's old it's stale and it won't work as well to leaven the bread. I added an extra 1/2 teaspoon to counteract that and I think it worked!) So easy! My husband loves is with Chili, to clean the pasta sauce off his bowl, or topped with fried cauliflower! I like sneaking a slice all by itself.

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
I didn't have any vanilla extract, but they still turned out great! I can imagine the vanilla would make them taste even better. I also am calorie-conscious so I used Splenda instead of sugar, and it worked great! My husband has already asked for seconds. It's the only way I can get us to eat Walnuts, and my nutritionist insists that we eat at least a handful of them a day. This recipe makes that much easier! I've tried many different candied walnut recipes and so far this is my favorite! Next time, though, I will make more topping or I will bake less walnuts. I like more yummy gooey goodness on each walnut!
