Golden State Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
really good. my fiancé was passing by after work before going to an event. i wanted to do something quick as a fulfilling snack to keep him well till he eats at the event. i did this with light sunflower butter, skimmed milk, and light cream cheese (great low fat choice! YUMMY!). it was quick and easy to make, and as other reviews said, i had the ingredients available at home. My fiancé usually takes half a cup of soup, but he took 2 good servings of this one. I served it with side melted cheddar cheese toasts cut up. Will definitely do this again.

Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2011
the cake was marvelous! i failed to do the icing though cause my cake mixer is broken, and it was quite impossible to stir by hand! will definitely do this again, and hopefully i would have bought a new cake mixer by then and tried the icing as well...

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
this recipe was really good, brilliant. but honestly i cant have that too often, every now and then is good enough for me, nothing to do with the recipe itself, just personal taste. i replaced garlic salt with 3 garlic cloves, and added salt to the chicken to taste as with the pepper. I didnt have a can diced tomatoes so i finely chopped 4 tomatoes, crushed 3/4 of the quantity and added 2 tbsp of tomato paste to them. i did mix the basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme with the crushed tomatoes as other reviews suggested, to avoid clots. i didnt decrease the quantity of balsamic vinegar, but i did add 1/4 cup water to the mixture while simmering. My family loved it.

Basil Tomato Soup

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
lovely soup. will probably make it again tomorrow. i did follow other's advice to saute a chopped onion and 4 crushed garlic cloves. To make it a little light i replaced the cream and the butter with 1 1/2 cups milk. came out great! different than the tomato soup we usually make, but still so good in a different way.

French Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
i was so excited to try this recipe because of all the positive reviews. unfortunately neither my family or i enjoyed it as a dressing. however, i used the rest of the recipe to season chicken shish kebabs, turned out gr8 after grilling! ill definitely use it again to keep kebabs glazed with this wonderful and easy recipe. next time ill just leave out the sugar, and add ground black pepper. delicious, a must try! it reminds me a bit of those glazed/grilled salmons that i love, maybe ill try it with that next time...

Light and Fresh Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
i made this today, it was amazing! just perfect! my dad hates salad dressings, he prefers eating the salad as it is without any additives but he fell in love with this one. i read some reviews suggesting to decrease the amount of sugar, but i decided to go with the original recipe as a first try. i adjusted the recipe to 5 servings, which i sufficient for 2 or 3 days if serving 3-4 people. i didnt want the dressing to be crunchy so i put everything in the blender except for the oil (i used olive oil btw instead of veg. oil), which i added later (following people's advice to keep a good emulsion in the fridge. i was out of sesame seeds, so i just made it without them. i also used regular vinegar rather than white wine vinegar. i served a basic salad, and kept the dressing on the side. just perfect! i especially loved its taste with carrots.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
i made this yesterday exactly as is, and it was perfect! i didnt have chicken broth, so i used 2 broth cubes with 3 1/2 cups of water. i had the left overs today, still as good as it was. i made it for my parents, they adored it, and even our maid commented on how good it was. ill definitely do it again.
