Best Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
Great promise for flavor, but just too sponge like for me. The batter was really promising but just didn't have the final flavor when cooked. I was really hoping for a brownie that stood on it's own. Better luck to everyone else!

Good, but may use some sort of sausage for more flavor.

Baked Potato Soup V

Really good. Diet substitutions of most ingredients will still result in a great, rich soup!

Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Superb. The dough seems to lack flour, but it laid down nicely without having that extra thick feel of other doughs. Just what I was going for! I just added a bit more cornstarch than usual to my slip so that it would go into the oven without reshaping. I used all purpose flour and added some more seasonings but it wasn't a must. I sliced off a third of the dough and made breadsticks prior to baking for an app. Great recipe! Best pizza dough yet.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Tastes wonderful! Just don't pour it all through the lattice work. Just glaze lattice with some of the juice.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
It smell was to die for. I was just a little disappointed with the texture. It was like the meat was pretty dry and the cream of mushroom compounded the two into a really dense substance. Maybe just add some more water to the soup. But overall it is satisfying and definitely sticks to your ribs. Thanks!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Wonderful cheesecake. It was my first time making one and I couldn't have asked for more. I would recommend using the Footnotes provided. I ended up making a water bath by heating an inch of water in a really large shallow-ish pot which could hold my springform pan. Anyway, it turned out perfectly.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
Really fun cookies - almost exactly chocolate chip standard except with pumpkin instead of shortening and butter. The chocolate and nuts were very welcome surprises every few bites. :) They took almost 4 minutes longer to cook and next time I will add more flour for a cookie you can actually hold. They also bled orange which was to be expected since that was most of their fabric. But the gooey consistency and orange greasiness made them hard to present. My husband really loves them and we'll make them again for his work Thanksgiving. Great seasonal twist!

Feather-Light Biscuits

Really light and yummy. I couldn't find buttermilk mix so just used the regular bread mix and substituted warm water for warm buttermilk. They're extremely light and perfect for jam.

Italian Cheese Loaf

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
Great recipe! The sandwich was simple and a sensation. Warm crispy bread filled with a perfect balance of cheese and tomato. I will be using this at my next book club meeting. However, I would cut the ingredients in half for a 1 lb. loaf in the future. I kept it in for about 35 min. just to make sure since the shredded mozzarella I use was frozen.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Really good and quick to impress. I added green chilies for more pep. My fiance loved it with some hot sauce. No need for enchilada sauce!
