Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
Best chocolate cookies I've ever made. They're actually chewy after they cool! I used chocolate chunks instead of chips. Fantastic.

5 stars once I doubled the raspberries and lemon. SO GOOD and really easy!

Asian Turkey Barbecue on Sesame Scallion Toasts

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
Delicious. I served this on naan (a big, Indian flat bread) and ate it like a soft taco. So tasty.

Brownie Torte

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
Used bittersweet chocolate instead of semi, and raspberries instead of strawberries. This is the most delicious thing I've ever baked, and SO EASY. Next time I'll be leaving out the walnuts for a smoother texture.

Chewy Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
Mine took longer to cook -- about 40 minutes. I added white chocolate chips and they're delicious. However, they are VERY oily. If I make again, I'll reduce the amount of PB.

Dijon Yogurt Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
I poured this onto a simple romaine, carrot and cucumber salad, and it was SO GOOD. I used fat free yogurt and it came out perfect. A definite keeper.

Pecan Turtle Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
These are delicious. I had some trouble with the bars sticking to the pan, and the chocolate didn't fully melt, so they're not extremely pretty. But YUMMY.

Zucchini Risotto

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
So good! Served this with pan-sauteed, herbed chicken breast and it was perfect. Risotto only took about 25-30 minutes to cook.

French Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
This was my very first time making bread, and it came out great! Even looked pretty. Will definitely be making this again. Just wondering, in case anyone feels like responding -- how come one of my loaves rose more than the other, when I did the exact same thing to both?

Cream Cheese Brownies III

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
These are pretty good, but they're not all that dense or rich (in my opinion). Also, I took them out after 30 minutes and they were a bit more than done.

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
I thought it was just a tiny bit too tangy, but it grew on me with each spoonful and really it's a very tasty dish. Will probably make it again but reduce the lemon juice and yogurt a bit.

Multigrain Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
Enjoyed these a lot, but the recipe is off -- ended up having to increase the wet ingredients by 1/3 in order to get the right consistency. I also added half a banana (mashed) to the batter, which was quite tasty.

Mom's Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
Yum! I would've given this 5 stars, except that I took other reviewers' alterations and doubled the peanuts and cooked it to 300 -- without those changes, I don't think it would be nearly as good. But WITH those changes, fantastic.
