My happy place
About this Cook
I'am a homemaker mom. Born, raised and living in Tampa Florida. When I was younger, my parents had a family restaurant. Cooking has always been my passion. My mother was my inspiration as she was a wonderful cook. The light of my life are my family and my three cats. I enjoy art, music and love cooking. I look forward to my weekends, enjoy food, wine, listening to music and relaxing outdoors on hot summer nights.
My favorite things to cook
casseroles, desserts, chicken and fish
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas; Lasagna, Philly Cheese Cake, cookies. Thanksgiving; Turkey & stuffing, green bean casserole, spice or carrot cake and pies. Easter; Chicken Cordon Bleu or ham, Pineapple Upside Down Cake or pudding pies.
My cooking triumphs
when everything turns out perfect.
My cooking tragedies
Don't recall any serious goof ups. Except leaving a whole freshly baked chicken on the counter. As I was walking into the back door of my kitchen, my dog(a lab) ran out the same time dragging the chicken outside with her!

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III
I made this recipe. This is my first chocolate cake from scratch. I have made homemade cakes before but not chocolate. This cake turned out wonderful for me and very moist. It is a keeper.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
I was in the mood for homemade peanut butter cookies one night but it was to late. I thought meanwhile Iam going to find a ordinary peanut butter cookie recipe for the following day. Then I came across this recipe and I thought I can make this tonight in no time. I did and they were yummy! I had a glass of milk with it. I slept like a baby all night.Taste like an ordinary peanut butter cookie, but better.
