This is an awesome yellow cake recipe, and will be my go-to recipe for a basic cake batter. It's the best recipe for yellow cake I have ever found, and I have made a lot of different from-scratch cake using recipes from popular blogs, cookbooks and more. The egg yolks in this recipe add an incredible amount of moisture and flavor. I most often use it for cupcakes, and it works extremely well on that front. I get rave reviews from tasters every time I use this recipe. I don't change anything - I think it's great just the way it is.
