Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I used this glaze on our Christmas ham and it was better than the already glazed hams you buy at the store! I added more or less according to out taste, but overall, great recipe!

Greek Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
This was really yummy! I didn't have any fresh ingredients, but it turned out great with jarred seasonings. The times are definately off...it took quite a bit longer than stated. I didn't use marinated artichoke hearts, but next time I will. I will also use a little bit more feta cheese.

Ravishing Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I made this for my daughter's birthday cake. It was my first attempt at a homemade cake vs box cake. Everyone loved it. It was a little dry, but I think that was my fault. I checked it at 20 minutes and instead of 10 more, it should have only been 5 more minutes. I didn't have butter extract so I used butter flavored shortening. I would like to try again, keeping a better eye on time.

Honey Ginger Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I have to admit, I was trying something new with this recipe, and it was great! My hubby was intimidated by the spinach, but admitted it made the dish better. I made it with jasmine rice and used 1 tsp ground ginger instead of finely chopped fresh ginger. Tasted like I ordered it from a Thai influenced restaurant. Thanks for the recipe!

Perfect Pineapple Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
I made this last night, and it was great! My hubby liked as well as the kids. I followed some other reviews for flavor factor and placed a whole peeled orange inside the chicken. Also I used a full can of pineapple chunks, chunks inside chicken as well. I used a whole cup of each juice and seasoned chicken with salt and pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. I also added a couple splashes of worcestershire sauce while basting. I wish I had had fresh garlic to put under the skin. All in all, very yummy.

Sirloin Marinara

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
I made this tonight... I had the sirloin steak but didn't know what I was gonna do with it. I picked the right recipe! Even my 1 year old keeps saying more. Of course I omitted the wine... just used a couple different kinds of jarred pasta sauce. I didn't have any cloves of garlic so I used some powder. I'm sure it would've been AMAZING with the ingredients called for. I will be making this again. Thanks for the post!

Oven Baked BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
I made these the other night, and they were knee-sinking good! I followed some tips on reviews previously posted... had to dump liquid a couple times. I used red onion which complemented well because of it's sweetness. I was worried about it being too ketchupy through watching it cook over the 3 hours. But when I tried a bite when I was cutting up my daughter's, my knees sank practically to the floor.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
Made these for a Halloween Party the other night and they turned out wonderfully! People were afraid to eat them at first because they weren't sure what the were! But once I assured all that they were to be eaten, they were gone! Warning to those attempting these... TIME CONSUMING! But worth it. Thanks for posting, its a great idea!

Halloween Brain Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This turned out really well for me. I didn't use the dip recipe, but the "brain" idea was really cute and turned out neat. I used skewers to hold together as I hollowed cauliflower out. Its tricky, but do what works for you. I'll probably use again! Thanks for posting.

BREAKSTONE'S Creamy Avocado Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I made this for a Halloween dip as a substitute to go with another recipe on this site and it was really yummy! I messed up and got this recipe and another that I was considering mixed up and added taco seasoning, but it turned out really good. I served with tortilla chips and beans and salsa. Next time I'll leave out the taco! My mistake!

Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
I made these the other night, and chewy isn't the adjective I'd use. My family and I thought they tasted like crisco cookies. Still looking for the perfect peanut butter cookie recipe.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
This was amazing! I have a small fryer, so it took a long time to make all that this makes. I substituted chicken with pork chop cut into cubes, I didn't have any chicken. The recipe was really easy. But I prepared this with an egg roll recipe that I got from this website, and it took me a total of about 3 hours to completely prepare and cook. The sweet and sour sauce was perfect. I didn't have orange food coloring so I used red, it really doesn't change how it tastes anyway. It reheats deliciously. I'm so excited to enjoy my favorite ethnic food without spending a fortune. I took some advice from the reviews: I seasoned the meat, covered, and refrigerated for a couple hours, I didn't have self-rising flour so I added salt and baking powder to flour before mixing ingredients for batter. Also, a trick of mine to drain meat after frying is to take cooling racks and place them on cookie sheets. It keeps them from sticking and overall tastes better. The other way is a waste of papertowels anyway. Definatly a keeper.

Authentic Chinese Egg Rolls (from a Chinese person)

Reviewed: May 21, 2009
These turned out so good! I forgot I was eating at home. A lot of steps, but very easy. I had a hard time finding egg rolls wraps, but finally found them in the produce isle. I fixed these with a sweet and sour chicken recipe I found on this site. It was a truly authentic meal that I will no longer be paying a fortune to enjoy.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
Definatly the best beef ever! I cooked for about 11 hours over night, shredded in the morning and refrigerated all day in the juice. Really yummy! I probably won't use as beef dip again, as we prefer roast beef, but will start buying roast more often!

Mom's Country Gravy

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
Really yummy gravy! I didn't brown it as recipe calls for, I wanted it to be white. I did have to add a little more water to thin it out a little bit. I'll be using this recipe a lot!
