Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2012
Yummy! These sandwiches were goooooood! I used an eye of round roast for this. That is not my favorite cut of beef because it always seems dry and tasteless. Not in this recipe! Can't wait for the leftovers for lunch today!

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
This chicken was fabulous! I have made chicken parm for years and always fussed about the sauce. I followed this recipe, using jarred sauce only, and it was terrific. The chicken was perfectly moist and the sauce was flavored a bit by the parm in the breading. Only thing I did different was to use shredded mozzarella in place of the Monterey Jack. Perfect! Thank you!

Peaches 'N Cream Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
Not sure if I didn't bake this long enough but the bottom layer was very floury and stiff/tough. My family really liked it, but I don't think I'll make it again. Sorry.

Spinach Brownies

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
Delicious! Made exactly as written and my kids (who think they hate spinach) gobbled it up! I may add some garlic next time I make it just to perk up the flavor a tidge! Thanks for a yummy, easy way to get the green stuff in the kids!

Cheddar Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Made this exactly as written. It was a little on the dry side but still tasty. The next day for leftovers, I added about a 1/2 cup of chicken broth and it was much, much tastier. I'll definitely make this again.

Ken's Perfect Hard Boiled Egg (And I Mean Perfect)

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Sorry - just didn't think this was worth the fuss. The eggs peeled easily, but were a little undercooked for our taste. I'll just stick the good ol' boil and cover method.

Best Ever Brisket

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Delicious and easy! Anything I can throw in the oven and forget about for the day gets high marks from me! The seasoning on this was very good and made the gravy I made a little spicy and different! Served with mashed potatoes and salad. Nice meal for company!

Wake-Up Casserole

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
I made this casserole exactly as written. It was delicious! Hubby's not much for casseroles (especially breakfast casseroles) and he LOVED this one! Great use for leftover ham. Will definitely make this again. It was a bit salty (could have been my ham) so I'd leave out the additional 1/2 t. of salt! Thank you Iris!

Grandmother's Baked Macaroni & Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
I'm always looking for new ways to present mac & cheese. Not only was this recipe an easier way to make it, it had a different flavor and texture than typical! My family of four devoured the entire 9x12 pan in one sitting and two of them have asked me to make it again today! Delicious!

Kielbasa and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
My family just loved this! Next time, I'll have to double the recipe. Only change I made was to use chicken soup instead of mushroom. It actually was in the oven for a little over two hours and still came out great! Very tasty! Thanks Geneva!

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2010
These patties were fantastic! What a great use for all the zuccini we have in the summer. Made them last night with only a few changes: I used Italian bread crumbs instead of the flour and added some garlic powder, s&p and tiny amount of red pepper powder. My family couldn't get enough and told me to quadruple the recipe next time! Thanks Sherlie for a great summer side!

Quick and Easy Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2010
My family loved this! I've made it three times this past week alone. I coated the entire potato half with olive oil and sprinkled with s&p and a little garlic powder (Paula Dean's kitchen spice)! Delicious! Thanks for the great and easy recipe!

London Broil for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
I followed this receipe exactly as written and cooked the LB for about 7 hours. NASTY! This was a waste of a decent cut of meat. (I tried it this way because it was raining and I had to cook the LB that had been in my fridge for several days.) It was tender but sooooo dry! LB is a steak and should be cooked on the grill I guess. It sounded good, too bad. Sorry.

Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This recipe has been in my family for years. We always called it "Farmer's Breakfast". To simply it, I use frozen hash browns, the chunky style. My family gobbles this up and it is great left over and warmed in the microwave. Nice to see simple things on this site!

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
I was excited to try this recipe because I actually had everything in the house for it! Unfortunately, even after adding extra garlic, basil and oregano, and using fresh mozarella and shredded mozarella, it was very bland. DH though it was "ok". I won't make it again. Sorry.

Blueberry Pancakes

These pancakes were awesome! My son (who likes nothing) couldn't get enough! The BEST blueberry pancakes ever. I made them with fresh blueberries and made a topping with strawberries, butter and brown sugar. Delicious! Thank you!
