Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
FABULOUS!!! Although, I've only ever used the recipe with ground lamb to make lamb burgers. Insanely amazing. I'd say I'm a little more generous in serving size with almost all the ingredients... Try it with lamb people! It's amazing!!!!

Spaghetti Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
Excellent flavor. I found you need to sautee the green pepper before adding it to the recipe as it was still to crunchy after coming out of the oven. As well, boil noodles just before 'al dente' before adding to the casserole as they may be too soft after coming out of the oven. Otherwise, as I said, amazing flavor!! I'm sure this will become a staple recipe in my house. Thank you, Kathy, for posting it!!

Tiramisu II

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
Turned out wonderfully! An amazing recipe indeed. MY TIPS: I used a casserole-type dish, but was slightly larger than recommended and found that I absolutely had to double the whipped cream. Otherwise, as others had suggested, I doubled coffee/liquor and was acceptable. BUT, if you're like me and like your tiramisu to be really strong in the coffee/liquor department I would even triple the amounts so as to really get a good soaking of the lady fingers (maybe 2 seconds dipped, per side?) which case, definitely DON'T cute them in half, leave them whole. Also, in this case, do buy the harder lady fingers so they don't fall apart in the soaking process. I made this for a social gathering and everyone RAVED about it! Definitely a do-over!!!

Shepherd's Pie IV

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
*Makes a HUGE amount of food!!! The cream cheese made the potatoes taste really rich and delicious. ONE TIP TO ALL: salt beef/onions well, as I found it was a little on the bland side. But still definitely worth making.

Sour Cream Banana Cake

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
Made a few tweaks and turned out moist, dense, and delicious. Changes made (some taken from other reviewers): 1/2 brown sugar + 1/2 white sugar, creamed butter and sugar thoroughly, used only 3.5 cups of all-purpose flour, (for icing:) only used 3 c. of confec. sugar (too sweet otherwise), and nearly doubled sour cream - taste for yourself!! I'll most certainly be banking this one in my recipe box!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
THE MOST amazing Risotto I've EVER had. It is everything it claims to be and more. I followed the recipe to the 'T' (maybe added a few shreds more of Parmesan). Oh, and I stirred my risotto on med-high for more like 35 minutes!!! Oy vey! But, really, SO worth it. Mmmmm....I will be serving it with steak.
