Mexican White Rice

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
I was reading some of the reviews, and I notice some were expecting a fluffy Mexican rice. Well coming from a Mexican I cook rice about twice a week. So what u want to do is, rince your rice under water till water goes clear, then you want to sauté the RICE first! Juat make sure u don't let it get brown. Remember this is white rice... Before it beggings to turn light golden brown you can add your vegt. And everything else. and yes milk will make it sticky.

Chicken Tinga Tostados

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
I'm originaly from Mexico, and I want to say this is good!!.. Only when we make our tostadas we put a thin layer of home made refried beans then the meat mixure, and of course our cheese n Mexican cream. Yummm! (just a tip: if u don't want it to spicy clean out your chipotle peppers by cutting them open and remove the seeds n vains.) be carefull when handeling them. Also in my house we can't forget the slices of avocados! :)

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2009
This is by far the best dinner I have cooked. I followed the recipe exactly as said and turned out really good. One thing I do have to say is that the chicken needed a little seasoning. So next time I will season it a bit. Also I have read that some, omit the pimientos and basil!! Well DONT it's what makes this recipe great! :0)

Strawberry JELL-O® Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
This pie was great!! From reading other reviews I omited the sugar. But when we ate it it was a little sour. So I guess next time I make it ( witch I will) I will add the sugar. One thing I want to advise it that you sift the corn starch over the juice. Other wise it will get lumpy... Thank you for sharing. Don't forget the whipped cream!! :0)

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
These are by far the best pork chops!! I made them today for dinner and every one at home loved them. One thing I did do was insted of seasoning them with salt and pepper. I seasoned with all purpose seasoning. And I broiled them alittle to make them crispy!! Defenetly a keeper. (I set the oven to 325' to avoid drying them. And keep a good eye on them if u decide to broil) :0)

I love this dish!! I followed the recipe exactly, only I added garlic, salt, pepper and oregano to the meat (to my taste). Turned out to be a good dinner. I served it with garlic bread and a salad. Nice dinner to have with some wine.

And turned them over half way. I also added some onion powder and a little rosemary. I Served it with white rice and steamed vegetables. What a great dinner!! Thank you for the recipe.

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
This recepie is yummy!! Even my 4 year old picky son loved it. The only thing I did different is.. I added fresh garlic to the meat With the onion and celery. Also I added some of my own spices. (oregano, salt, pepper and all purpose seanoning) while browning the ground beef. I personally like to season my meats with spices rather than just salt. Other wise I did every thing else. It came out great!

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
This recepie was really good!! It was a hit for my husband. I just change a couple of things.. I used petite dice tomatos (thats just what i like to use) and I added some garlic to the ground beef. Also I had in hand a sweet bell pepper so I toss that in as well. Yummy!! And last I mixed the taco seasoning with 1/3 cup of water. (it's better that way bc It just might get to dry when you put it in the oven).
