Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2012
This should be your "go to" basic banana bread recipe. I had all the ingredients in the house already, but you could add whatever you want. I added walnuts, vanilla extract and cinnamon. I also always sprinkle a layer of sugar on top of the mix for that extra sweetness and crunch on the top of the bread. No complaints here!! The bread was moist and didn't include the extra calories of cream cheese or sour cream like other recipes.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
Wow, this tasted great & was easy. I heavily seasoned the chicken with EVOO, Oregano, Paprika, S&P. I added potatoes, carrots, celery and onion to the bottom of the crock pot (instead of foil). I wish my crock pot would have been bigger so I could have added more. I cooked the chick in 2 cans of chicken broth. Everything tasted a lot like chicken noodle soup (without the noodles of course). I will make this again!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
This marinade was super easy to make. I made for my party Friday night & used zuchini, squash, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. I marinated everything for about 3 hours and cooked about 20 minutes on the grill. Every piece was eaten up! Thanks for reminding me to soak the skewers, I would have forgot!

Italian Torte

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
I made this for the 1st time for a party Friday night. The recipe was super easy. I didn't have cheesecloth so I went with another reviewers comments & used saran wrap with paper towels. You have to have the paper towels; I didn't realize how oily pesto is. I only used about 4oz of pesto & thought it was plenty. I knew I didn't have time to refrigerate the torte, so I left the cream cheese out about 10-15 minutes to soften & made the torte just before the party. I rolled up into a ball & served immediately. The recipe made plenty. I cut the ball in half. I put half out with (store bought) pita chips and the other half in the refigerator. We only ate the half I put out so I ended up with left overs! The torte was also good with tortilla chips & wheat thins. Next time I am going to make pita chips in the oven.
