ok i know this is about cooking - but it is 94 degrees here today and
Humidity: 30% - so will be doing a black forest and swiss cheese sandwich on potato bread - with carrots and apple slices on the side and a glass of strawberry breeze punch - i am so glad not to have to turn on the oven for dinner

living in the south is hard during the hot summer months - that is why so many cook over the weekend - and eat the leftovers during the week

have a great day - and thanks to you who read and write back to me

by the way the hardest thing about being in the army - is loving someone in the army - an army girlfriend who loves her soldier

I understand not wanting to turn the oven on. We are almost always over 80% humidity. :( I try to make big diches over the weekend and warm up in mocrowave during the week. This works good until my husband decides he can't eat that AGAIN lol! This usually happens around Wed. and I end up finishing the left-overs. This week it is veggie lasagna (turned out wonderful for my first attempt) so maybe we will get to Thurs or Fri. :)

It's plenty hot here too! I'm finding that I can't wait for the cool, crisp fall days ahead. I have been trying to do the pantry challenge of cleaning out and using up and it's getting harder with all these warm days when the last thing I really want to do is turn the dang oven on.

Our summer has not been too bad-in fact we're a little cooler than usual right now.-a welcome break.I am lucky-my DH will happily eat anything I put in front of him-dinner for breakfast is OK, sandwiches are fine, crock-pot meals are loved for as long as they last. Your dinner plans sound great to me.
