End of the Line Ham Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2014
This was much better after it set in the fridge for a couple days after cooking to let the flavors meld. I used cream of mushroom instead of cream of celery. Good dinner, but not the greatest.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
Excellent. Added a dash to nutmeg to ricotta. Fabulous. I think it needs a little more sauce between the layers though. I had a lot of leftover sauce, and would have liked a thicker lasagna.

Easy Eggplant Pita

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2013
This was really good, but it's missing something in the taste department to make outstanding. A great lunch, but I'd skip as a dinner dish. Made exactly as written.

Sausage and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2013
This a fabulous recipe. Thanks for sharing. I cooked the bacon, cut it up, then sauteed the onion in the drippings. I added that with all the other ingredients, and put in the slow cooker. I didn't add apple juice as other readers suggested. This was an awesome dish. Part of family routine now. :D Husband is German too and said sauerkraut was much better than his mom used to make :D

Microwave Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
The writer must have a microwave with the wattage of the sun. Took my microwave 45 minutes to cook 4 sliced potatoes in the slew of milk as written. The sauce was bland and common. I'm amazed the cook felt the need to share. Won't make again.

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
This is a 4. Missing the stupendousness of a "5", but still really good. I used my homemade vegetable broth instead of canned beef broth, and tomato sauce instead of canned tomatoes, then reduced salt in half after reading reviews. I allowed guest to salt themselves after serving; I highly recommend this. Also, I did add the sour cream. It's great with it. It had a richer flavor when room temp, and the kielbasa in the sauce is some of the best kielbasas I've ever had. It is a great homestyle dish. Not something you'd serve to company, but great to curl around the TV with.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
Very good. Followed SDgirl's instructions, using sherry for red wine. Delicious! Gave you a full good feeling when completed. Husband said he hadn't had a dish like that in years("uh, thanks!")

Hearty Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
This is one of those reccipes you have to make exactly as written. Zucchini is exceptional...can't substitute. Flavors bland first day (monterey jack is a mellow cheese), but second day -- one of best dishes I've ever had with tuna. Needs to blend overnight. Don't rate a recipe until you ccok it as desribed (duh!) -- then experiment!

Turkey Broccoli Hollandaise

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Yuck. Even with hollandaise, comes out extremely dry. Wasted my delicious leftover stuffing and turkey. It this is your idea of delectable, I hate to see wat you think is mediocre. Should DEFINITELY be covered, at least, if in over for 30 minutes. What a waste of good food.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
OK burgers, but bacon gets rubbery and inedible. Had better burgers I've just seasoned myself with whatever concoctions. Interesting idea, but really falls flat.
