In the last year, I have learned that I love to create new things in the kitchen! It is my release! Baking is my first love, party foods and appetizers are a close second. Entertaining and cooking allow me to serve others, this is who I am!

My mom makes the BEST Southern scratch buttermilk biscuits. My father loved the biscuits, so when she made them, it was a gesture of love. She passed her techniques and recipe to me, now I enjoy making it for my own beau!

Davy Crockett Cookies
I substituted baking sugar substitute (Splenda) for the white sugar to decrease calorie count. These are hearty and delicious. Just became my new oatmeal cookie recipe.

Beer Bread I
Made this a dozen times, used Miller Lite! It is sweet and comes out perfectly every time. For best results, bake and cool. Refreigerate over night, better the next day and it cuts easier when it is cold.

Butternut Squash Soup with a Kick
