Tater Tot Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
I used cream of celery soup, corn, onions and tater tots made with onions. This was delish! It tastes like a de-constructed shepherd's pie with a little bit of crunch thrown in!

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2010
Thanks to the reviewer who said to add cream of chicken soup to the dressing! I tried it once and it was good but my husband (trying to help) added way too much cornmeal! I tried it again with the alterations suggested (less broth and a can of cream of chicken soup) it was perfect! My dressing is now better than my grandmother's!!!

If you are lucky, you can find red and green peppermint flakes at your local bakers supply shop.

Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
I recently started using a variation of this recipe and I think it might be my hubby's favorite! Instead of the bread crumbs I use stuffing... it doesn't matter which brand. I use about half a box but my hubby and I love stuffing! I leave out the water entirely and instead blend in about 1/4-1/3 cup of milk. If you pre-cook the chicken on a skillet for a few minutes before hand, you can cut the oven time to about 20-30 minutes.

Baked Asparagus with Balsamic Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2010
I did not expect balsamic vinegar to go well with asparagus. Congrads, you surprised me. I did alter this one a bit though. I added a few glugs of lemon juice and a tiny bit of terriaki sauce for sweetness. The sauce tastes ghastly in the bowl but wonderful on the asparagus! Note: You have plenty of time to prepare the sauce while the vegetable cooks so the prep time is a bit inaccurate. This worked great with frozen asparagus!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
When I want to impress someone I make this dessert! I use brownies with chocolate chunks in them already for more chocolate, and I chop up strawberries (fresh or frozen) and put them in there!
