Mini Candy Bar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
These were so easy and are really good. Don't let sit on the cookie sheet too long as the bottoms will get dark. Tried with milky way candies as well for those allergic to nuts.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
This was pretty good. Definitely can't cook longer then 6-7 hours, it would be too long. We used a Sweet baby rays (honey) bbq and chunk pineapple. Because of the sweet bbq sauce, I added a hot pepper with the other peppers and a dash of red pepper flakes to even it out. Our sauce was a good consistancy, as we used a whole bottle bbq, small can of pineapple for 3 chicken breasts. Served with rice. Will make again!

OMG. I had these at a party...they are the BEST potato dumplings I have ever had. Was told to beat the potatoes until completely smooth.

Festive Shortbread Logs

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Very good shortbread recipe. Can be difficult to roll log shapes. Do spread a little on pan. Love end result, decorated with chocolate and sprinkles

Swiss Steak Quick and Easy

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
This was pretty good. I liked how the gravy mix helped to thicken the tomatoes/sauce.

Scrumptious Salisbury Steak in Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
I gave this 5 stars, but as an altered recipe as others did. I made the steaks same as the recipe. On the sauce, I sauted fresh mushrooms and onions. Then I added 1 1/2 cup milk and 1 1/2 cup beef broth, and a can of cream of mushroom soup and a little Worcestershire sauce. Excellent with the changes. I don't like boullion, which is the main reason for the change.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
These choc chip cookies are definitely one of the best. I couldn't believe just the little differences make such a change in the cookie. slightly chewy in the middle and crispy on the edges. Take them off the pans immediately when coming out of the oven to keep from flattening.

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
Made some slight changes which I think did this wonders! I am guessing the original is just as good, but I loved it the way I made it so hard to go back. Changed the cheddar cheese to Velveeta and put panko bread crumbs on top because I didn't have corn flakes. Wonderful, will make again!!!

Rum or Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Pretty good, just could use a little more rum. Chocolate also clumped when adding in liquids, seemed like there was probably a better way to go about that step. Grind cookies in processor so that they are very fine, otherwise chocolate will fall apart when rolling if you have clumps of cookie. I like this mixture better then others I have tried so far. Will try with bourbon next time.

Very good quick way to make cabbage and sausage. Bacon really made it!

Cheesy Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Excellent! Cooked a few strips of bacon, then cooked veggies in bacon grease. My husband, who says he hates squash, ate the hole 1/2 before even touching his beef!!

Sausage Stuffing Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
These were really good! We used the stovetop as others suggested, and made our own sausage gravy to go with it. One of the best flavored meatballs we have ever had.

Stovetop Bratwurst Dinner

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2010
A change to the regular Bratwurst dinner...we loved it and hubby actually said...this is a keeper! that doesn't happen often. If you are looking for something else different, google a recipe for bratwurst w/ sour cream sauce. I don't remember where I got it but it is an excellent recipe for another change to boring bratwurst dinners :)

Chocolate Mint Dessert Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
My family and I LOVE this brownie. My mom has been making it for years, we call it the Creme de Menthe brownie. She also adds green food coloring to the mint filling, just to look festive. I just asked her last night if she was making them this year :) Also, these freeze great! We have freezed them for up to a year and they come out perfect and good. We usually can't wait until they are thawed before cutting into them. I have even traveled from MD to FL on plane with packages of these... you will love them, guaranteed!

Sweet Potato and Apple Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2014
My family loves this side dish. We aren't big sweet potato casserole fans (too much work for me and not big on toppings). But we love apples, so this was a big hit. Have made several times already.

Turkey Cheeseburger Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2014
This is our go to turkey meatloaf recipe. Sometimes I soak the bread in a little milk for more moisture. For topping we like 1/2 and 1/2 ketchup and bbq sauce mix. Loaf will be very sloppy and moist to form, but this means it will come out perfect.

Savory Crescent Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2014
Filling was wonderful. However should have rolled out crescents and used thinner ones for these. Too much roll to filling ratio. Originally only used 1 pkg crescents and made 4 large puffs with 1/4 of sheet or 2 triangles together.

Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
Very easy and not too strong gingerbread flavor, which we like. I made these just into circles and will drizzle icing on top. Next time plan to top with natural sugar before baking to add a little something.

Delicious! First time I have ever made these cookies and they are a hit. Must make with almonds, I think it gives a lighter texture and taste.
