Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
I followed the recipe (almost) exactly. I didn't have nutmeg so I substituted the pumpkin spice in the same amount. I also followed the baking times and they were a little well done after 15 minutes. We loved them. I love to bake but typically, the baked goods get sent to work, school or neighbors because we don't eat them that much. These stayed in my house and lasted 2 whole days before they told me to make some more. The first batch I used butter. The second batch, made today, I used margarine. No difference in flavor. I also cooked them for 12 minutes and they are perfect. Based on the butter/sugar/cinnamon add on at the end, I did cut it down so I wouldn't have as much left over. I quadrupled the batch I made today and only tripled the topping. It was perfect. I will be making these again and again. Loved them!

Spaghetti With Peanut Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2010
I loved the idea of this dish but it was not something I will make again. The descriptions of others were accurate in describing the flavors, it just wasn't something I could like. It was creamy, had a decent flavor but none of us in my family fell in love with it. We all ate it, no one refused it, but discussed the fact that I will never make it again. My son adds bbq sauce to everything so he said it was ok (with bbq sauce). I'm definitely glad I tried it, we come across loved recipes that way, we just won't "try" this one again. I don't want to turn people away from this recipe, because if all of the ingredients are something you like, give it a whirl. That's what I did.

Emily's Pickled Eggs

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
My husband and stepson were talking about pickled eggs that my stepsons grandfather makes. All they knew was that it wasn't beet juice. I found this recipe and decided to try it. They were hooked. I have to triple the batch when I make them or they don't last more than a day. They also have a hard time waiting for the 3 days and haven't complained about any lost flavor. My husband brought some to work and one of the guys wanted the recipe because he's been looking for one and really liked these. I'm not an egg person so I can't give an opinion on them for myself, but judging from the family and friends reactions, I'd say they are wonderful!
