Hi gang, So here is my dilemma. I am on a ferry restrictive diet due to digestive issues. No red meat, no gluten,no dairy and no eggs.Being a foodie I have become creative with my fish, chicken and pork dishes. Plus I love veggies so lucky there ( except I have to limit garlic and onions). Yes… MORE

About this Cook
I am originally from the Niagara region and have lived in Whitby for over 10 years now. My better half and i enjoy fine dining and playing cards with our friends. My mother was a cook for over 35 years and I am lucky to inherit the trait of being a pretty good cook :) I can take various ingredients on hand and whip up a dish to please all my friends. I don't bake much because if you bake you will eat it and thus create a large butt :) so for now i stick mainly with entrees. All recipes is a great site to view other like minded people and try new and creative recips.
My favorite things to cook
I recently had to do major dietary changes due to digestive issues so no more gluten, dairy, eggs or red meat. I eat chicken, veggies and lts of veggies. Try to incorporate Quinoa in a lot of recipes for extra protein. I still cook all of my hubbies favorite dishes but just can' t taste test them.
My cooking triumphs
Osso Bucco - my hubby loves this dish and it is so incredibly easy to make. Greek/Italian marinated chicken, incredibly juicy chicken breast that take 10 minutes to prepare.
My cooking tragedies
I attempted to make perogies when i was 12 years old - have never made them after that - long process and very fattening. If I crave them I will purchase premade from a local Polish store.

Beet Salad with Goat Cheese
This was a huge hit, i have made it 3 times already for dinner parties. People love it and it seems very elegant but so easy to make :)

Meatball Nirvana
Yum yum yum! Made a bunch for my hubby who lives to have bucatini and meatballs after hockey tuesday nights. Instead of buying the frozen ones I always do I thought I would give these a try. So happy I did. He loves them and I made enough to freeze :). I did half beef half pork and they are fantastic!

Monkey Bread V
Even easier to make - buy the cinnamon buns from pillsbury - the cinnabon brand - still add the margarine - but a friend of mine - i cant take credit - she added chocolate chips in with the dough. OMG - my mouth was in heaven - but my hips paid for it :)
