Hot and Sour Chicken Soup

Reviewed: May 14, 2012
This was a great recipe! The flavor was well balanced and it became a complete meal by adding tofu. I make a few minor adjustments after reading the past reviews. I cut the red wine vinegar to 2 TB and cut the cornstarch to 1.5 TB. I added some water chestnuts to give it some crunch and it was the perfect hot & sour soup. You can really experiment with vegetables and meat since you have a great base to work with. This will be in my regular rotation.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
Simple & Delicious Recipe. In order for it to be a meal, I doubled all the vegetables and kept the broth amount the same. In addition, instead of egg noodles I added 1 cup of barley, 1 zucchini chopped and a can of cannellini beans. Keepper!

Healthy Turkey Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2011
This has been made and re-made so many times in my home I cant even count, best turkey loaf recipe. The only adjustment I made was I doubled the recipe and used only 1 egg & I added a 1/2 cup of chopped potatoes to keep everything moist. Must try!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
I definitely made a few changes after reading the reviews. I cut the salt down to 1 tsp of salt for the marinade and 1 tsp for the sauce. My chicken was very dry from the broiler so in the future I will just add the chicken to my sauce and let it cook. Also 1 tsp of cinnamon was way too overpowering for me, I would go for 1/2 tsp. To keep it diet friendly, I doubled the sauce with 2 8oz cans of tomato sauce and only used 1 cup of light heavy cream. I see this being a great recipe to work off from but a few adjustments would have to be made.

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I was so tired of the tomato based chili & was looking for something new & came across this great recipe!! I couldn't seem to find any canned green chiles in the market so I just chopped up some green peppers to give it some color. Don't be scared of the cinnamon, it makes people wonder, hmm what is that. This recipe is even better the next day!

Pasta with Asparagus

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
Not much change to the original, I just sauteed the mushrooms with garlic and added the asparagus at the last minute. You will need more than 1/4 cup of stock, there's no exact amount, just add the stock little by little till you get the right consistency. Great Recipe! Thank You!

I will never be making pancakes from a box again! What a lovely recipe. The only change I made was using brown sugar instead of the sugar substitute.

Every time I make these they are perfectly moist and yummy! The only changes I made was using honey instead of sugar and equal parts whole wheat flour and white. Thanks for a sweet start!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
My fiance was craving Outback Steakhouse Baby backs so instead of eating out I wanted to give it a shot. I didn't have time to marinate overnight but it was still so yummy! I just broiled it for a few mins at the end to get it sticky. Thanks for a simple but great recipe! :)
