Pizza Dough III

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2014
This recipe turned out just fine, even though I only had regular flour. I added an Italian-esque spice mix right into the dough (herbs in the dough is an easy way to amp up a basic crust) and rolled this out very thin and it behaved nicely.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
My partner made this for me one night for dinner, and it was a real treat! The mixture of spices is really nice, a bit of a kick but not overpoweringly spicy, and it's very easy and quick.

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
This is absolutely wonderful, and very convenient for lunches. I used canned chicken the first time (which looked weird, but was tasty) and grilled diced chicken the second time, which was even better. I like leaving this to sit overnight before using it, so the flavours can really mix together. I added extra curry because I love the flavour.

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
I added a quarter cup of kirsch to this to make it a black forest cake, and it was one of the best I've ever made. It got rave reviews from everyone who tried it, and was still moist and delicious two days after (I made a huge cake so we saved a bit). Highly recommended for chocolate lovers!

Satiny Chocolate Glaze

Made this to go on top of Marsha's Black Magic Cake, and it was divine. It also looked really nice, which is a bonus!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
A friend of mine (also an Allrecipes.com addict) made these for the same party that I made Tiffany Brennan's Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II for. It was amazing! She took the recommendation of making the cinnamon chips to go along with it, and the two paired very nicely. Mix it up with different jams and berries!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Delicious, but (like most bruschetta) it's best to leave this overnight so that the flavours can really come together. I added more garlic (but I always add more garlic) and I also added a bit of diced red onion. The restaurant I work at adds diced jalapenos as well for an extra kick, so if you like it spicy, I'd go that route!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I added extra garlic, but I add extra garlic to everything, so that's more a matter of taste. It got rave reviews when I took it to a potluck, and I found that it was delicious served warm or cold.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
Idiot-proof banana bread... the best basic recipe I've found so far. I always add vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves because I like my banana bread to have a bit of spice to it, and I usually use oil or applesauce instead of butter. I would also probably do half-and-half whole wheat and white flours when I was able to.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
My partner (a taco afficionado) thought it tasted pretty good, but that it needed a bit more salt and could use more spice, which you could adjust to taste when you make the seasoning.
