Monkey Peanut Butter Bars

Yummy and rich! Idk why pictures have m&m's..Didn't use them. Used 1/2 C pbutter, added chips too batter 1 C. White 1 C. semi sweet. baked 17 min. pulled out dropped by Tbs. 1/4 cup pbutter and 1/2 c. chips on top. Put back in oven 2 minutes. Spread easily and LOVED them! Crust is dry but I liked it! FYI~ Chips aren't going to just melt and spread by themselves. When glossy take out and spread with spoon very easily.

Great didnt have hours did it in 40 min added 4 granny smiths. Im german..both sides and this was spot on. Dont use italian sausage please! Lol

Ghirardelli Chocolate Mousse

Great flavor but...not as firm as picture. Needed to fill cream puffs. To make extra firm: after doing final recipe steps. Dissolve in double broiler 1 packet unflavored gelatin softened in 1/4 c coffee. Add to final product with mixer on high speed for 2-3 min.Then refrigerate. If you have made a chiffon pie you will get it! Works like charm! This will give you firm more of a mousse-like texture instead of pudding!

Fresh Pear Cake

I don't normally change recipes ..but pears are my favorite fruit so I had to soup up this recipe a bit. I used two whole eggs and two whites, half white sugar half brown..no clove added ginger and cardamon and maple extract. Added yellow raisins instead of nuts. Made big bakery style muffins w/crumb topping and cream cheese drizzle! To die for!I got 18 muffins with this recipe.

Loved it! Dont use cheap paprika! Use high quality after all it is center stage! I used Penzeys smoked! Yummy! Dumplings were great too! Why season them more? They are just there to hold the sauce! Do Double sauce!

Easy Grape Salad

Good start but spiced mine up abit with cinnamon,cardamon,mexican vanilla and 2 tbs. sweet blueberry vinegar~ took it from good to amazing!I also used mixed fresh fruit not just grapes worked great!

Pork Chops with Pear Sauce

Concept was good I try not to change recipes but this one I did. Soaked my chops in pear infused vinegar for about 10 min. first.Did not use lemon juice used more pear vinagar. Used more brown sugar added china ginger(must with anything pear)used vietnamese cinnamon used water not pear juice and used stick blender right in pot no need for blender

I have made this recipe many times - I should've reviewed it a long time ago! Just like my gram used to make! I love it - I throw in a tablespoon granulated tapioca to thicken a little more and ad tsp vanilla to filling - also sub heavy cream for milk ( personal preference) I sometimes make galette w/ it which works fine as well -see pic I have won quite a few pie baking contests and have just qualified for state championship -if I say its great ...its great! Should've reviewed a long time ago! Also I am partial to most of chef johns recipes! Keep em coming!Great country style pie -not too many frills let's the fruit shine! Top w/ real whipped cream if you can

Impossible Pumpkin Pie II

I happen to have a block of cream cheese in the fridge so I threw it in - I used brown sugar only and added 2 tbs molasses . I did a crumb topping on top for the last 20 min - very good! It had a slight cheesecake texture - very tasty! Next time I'm going to add 3 - 8oz cream cheese and extra cup white sugar - I mixed everything in blender which was great!

All-Day Apple Butter

Great! Adjusted spices to my liking - left some peels in with apples - hint! Peel contains pectin which will thicken butter naturally - used stick blender after finished cooking - smooth as silk! Also sub some brown sugar fnstead of all white for richer flavor

Very bland? I don't get the great reviews?? Needs some salt and vanilla - I used unsalted butter ? I added apple pie spice and twice as much cinnamon tg!! idk what the baking soda and powder were for? didn't rise? Next time I would toss w/ lemon juice , add salt , vanilla and skip soda and powder - and add some pecans!

Did not chill dough - turned out great! I nuked chilled butter for 40 sec - it was melted but not 100 % liquid mixed everything by hand with whisk no need for mixer!
