HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL!  We just had such a nice dinner party last night, I thought I'd share the menu.  I was able to make the whole menu up ahead of time so that I had some energy to enjoy the party! kind of food.

Swiss, Canadian White Cheddar and Aged Orange Cheddar cubes with Everything Bagel Chips
Green Grapes and Wine

Bacon Balsamic Deviled Eggs(AR)
Pierogi Casserole (AR
Rosemary Carrots (AR)
EZ Cream Biscuits (AR)

Joan's Famous Mondel Brodt  (AR)
Chocolate Dipped Strawberries
Selection of Individually wrapped quality chocolate squares

Ghiradelli Grown Up Hot Chocolate (AR)

See my reviews on each (AR) recipe

NOTES: * have your appetizer out in your sitting area as guests arrive...put your dog in his crate..LOL!
*Deviled eggs, carrots and Mondel Brodt can be made the day ahead
*assemble the casserole the morning of...add up to 15min baking time from fridge to oven..I'm thinking this might be OK the day before but didn't try it.
*dip cookies day before...I added pecans and craisins to the dough ..then dipped some and drizzled some with chocolate and left some plain....these are like biscotti but a little lighter.
*dip strawberries the afternoon of
*make up hot chocolate and reheat at dinner-I ended up with some other quality hot chocolate that I had on hand but added Grand Marnier to it...the Ghiradelli recipe sounded good but I didn't review it.

The flavors all blended very well and everyone raved about the food.  The only recipe I was not happy with were the biscuits...I may have overcooked them, so I will not review until I try them again.

Wishing you all a wonderful year of great times with family and friends...and lots of new recipes!

Wow! I'm impressed. I have looked at the pierogi casserole recipe before, now I think I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the menu, and I love that most of the recipes are AR so we can try them too.

My cooking tragedies
when I was teaching myself to cook way back in college, I made these wonderful oatmeal raisin cookies for my roomies....only problem was I forgot the flour! The cookies became one big mass that overflowed the cookie sheet and made a huge mess in the oven!
