A Marinade To Die For

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
Very yummy! I used it on pork country ribs, marinated in fridge for around 4 days! It was on the sweet side, but not too sweet for us. Super delish!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
This is super delish! I made 4 different marinades from this site, "A Marinade to Die for", "Teriyaki Marinade", "Steak Marinade I"... I am very impressed with this one. I let the meat marinate for around 4 days and then grilled it, hubby and the kids loved it!

Zucchini Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
This was really good, but I would rename it "zucchini cake" 'cause that's really what it was. Very tasty, but not so much a bar.

White Chili II

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
This stuff is stinkin' wonderful! I have a hard time sticking to recipes, I'm not much of a measurer. I cooked dry beans and made my own chicken broth, and didn't leave out any ingredients. It was wonderful! My husband and the kiddos agreed. I served it with shredded cheese on top and a warm flour tortilla on the side.

Jalapeno Hot Sauce

This sauce is soooo good! Just be prepared to choke a little on the spicy air when you're blending and pouring.

Brownie Mix in a Jar II

This is a great recipe. I made about 12 batches for Christmas gifts this year. Of course, I had to "test" one first, and it was very good!

Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Oh my goodness, this is the yummies popcorn ever! It really does taste like the kettle corn from the fair, if not better! I followed the tips for the 3 kernel test, as well as 3 seconds on the heat/ 3 seconds off the heat & shaking. I add the salt in with the sugar so it's evenly dispersed. I've made about 8 batches this week!!! I tried with brown sugar and didn't like it as much, but still good.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
I was looking for the best banana muffins this site had to offer, and I found them! Without a doubt this is the best muffin recipe I've ever used. The crumb topping is deeeelish! I thought it actually made a little too much, but not biggie. I did add some cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice to the muffin batter. My husband and kids devoured these. I quadrupled the recipe to use the 12 ripe bananas I had, which made 30 large muffins and 4 small loaf pans (which cooked about 30-35minutes).

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Oh my, this was so delicious! We don't like thick crust, so I made two large pizzas from one recipe. I baked them on a heated pizza stone, and they came out wonderful!

Old-Fashioned Italian Zucchini Fritters

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
These were so deeelicious! I would have loved to add the fresh basil, but had to use dry instead. I followed all other instructions, and the result was so yummy! This recipe makes a ton! You could easily half it for a side dish. I used good size zucchini and the ratios seemed good. I dipped them in some teriyaki sauce, mmm. Will definitely make this again!

Pie Crust IV

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
I love making pie, but I've never been so happy with my crust recipes. This one was FABULOUS. I think I told my husband about three times how lovely the dough was while I was rolling it out. He finally said, "Yeah, I've been hearing a lot about that pie crust!" haha, it was really that good! I followed the recipe exactly.

Asparagus with Sliced Almonds and Parmesan Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
This was a wonderful dish! I made it twice, and it was definitely better to sprinkle the cheese on just before serving. It's just a little globby if you sprinkle the cheese while it is still in the pan. I transferred the cooked asparagus to a serving dish, sprinkled the cheese, tossed it and sprinkled a little more... Perfection! Even my picky 4 & 5 year olds liked it! Wow, that's really saying something!

Southwest Pasta Bake

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
This was pretty tasty! I'm not much of a recipe girl, so of course I fudged the ingredients a little. I used tomato paste, diced tomatoes and less salsa than called for because that's all I had. I also used fresh spinach and replaced a little cream cheese with some plain yogurt to cut a few calories.
