About this Cook
I absolutely love making soups, dips, and sauces.
My favorite things to cook
Soup :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom always made the best meals! Lots of Italian, which my family loves.
My cooking triumphs
I must say I've perfected many soups - especially carrot. It doesn't taste like carrot - more smooth buttery delightful tasting and it's healthy!
My cooking tragedies
My tragedies occur when I'm trying to empty out the pantry and mixing whatever I have together...ick :)

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
Great recipe! Chewy on the inside and crispy on the outer edges. I read the reviews and found these to be most helpful: 1) Instead of shortening, substitute 1/2 Cup Butter 2) Allow butter to soften to room temperature 3) Use 3TBL Sugar and 1 TBL Cinnamon and mix in a baggie - shake dough in it 4) Wet your fingertips to form the balls - this was awesome!

Carrot Dill Soup
This soup is amazing! I pretty much followed the recipe with these few exception: I boiled celery leaves with the carrots. When sauting the onion and garlic, I added pepper, sea salt and 1 tsp of dill at that time. I did not use chives. I'm excited to share this recipe with my family!!

Cauliflower-Cheese Soup
This soup was fantastic! Almost restaurant style. The only alteration I made was using 1 cup of chicken broth vs. the water. I also added the salt (sea) and pepper with the boiling vegetables, and added dried parsley. Excellent recipe!
