White Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
This was amazing! I threw everything into the crockpot, including two cans of beans. I ended up mashing an additional can of beans to thicken it up. Super tasty topped with shredded provel cheese. Yum!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
This was to die for! I'm not even a fan of tomato soup, but I loved this one. Unfortunately, I couldn't find fresh basil the day I made this so I used about 3-4tsp. of dried. Also, I used fat free half-n-half. I'm sure its even better with the original ingredients, but its quite yummy this way too! Oh, I also added a tsp of garlic powder. I meant to add some minced garlic to the tomato mix at the beginning, but I forgot. This is soooo tasty!!

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Definitely a hit with the whole family- the only change I made was to put the jalpenos on the side. Without those, it was pretty tame, heat-wise.

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This was surprisingly good considering how simple it was to make. I left out the green peppers because I didn't have any on hand. I will make this again.

Homemade Chocolate Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
Delightful! I used a cookie scoop to get consistency in the size. They turn out to be about 2 1/2in. cooked. I put the frosting in a ziplock and piped it on for easy. Tastes like the Oreo cakesters. Yum!

Better Than Sex Cake I

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Really good and really easy. This recipe was actually on the side of the german cake mix box. Also, I used butterfinger since we prefer that.

Italian Sausage Appetizer Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2012
This was great! I omitted the olives but only because I didn't have any. I also used garlic powder as opposed to minced and Shredded Italian cheese in place of the Swiss. I think this would be even better as individual sausage breadsticks.

Baked French Fries II

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
I keep making the mistake of cutting these too thin- for anyone else that didn't realize this (like me) they thin out as they cook! Maybe that's an obvious fact for other...guess I'm special! (short bus). Added seasoned salt to mine- yum!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
This is an absolute favorite at our house now! I just have to make sure and double the recipe- everyone wanted seconds! Quick tip: if you don't want to take the time to peel and chop the potatoes, use shredded hashbrowns.

Amazingly tastes exactly like an eclair donut- especially the next day!! Super easy when you use melted store-bought frosting.

Sweet Bacon Crackers

Reviewed: May 26, 2014
These were the hit of our Memorial Day BBQ. I had so many requests for the recipe, I ended up posting it on FB. My only suggestion would be to cut the bacon into fourths instead of thirds. Not only does the bacon go further, I think it's a better bacon/cracker/sugar ratio that way.

Fluffy Pudding Frosting

Delightful! Super light and fluffy. I used this to frost my chocolate cookie dough cupcakes from this site and it was the perfect compliment. I even swiped a few dabs right out of the bowl!

Fabulous and super easy! I did brown the chops before I baked it, but I doubt I needed to. I bet this would be good with chicken too.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
This beef really does melt in your mouth like butter....IF you have good beef. I've made this twice now- the first time I used beef we had gotten from a 1/4 cow we had purchased and it was HEAVEN! I did brown the meat beforehand and added some browning sauce to the pan. I also threw in a pint of sliced fresh mushrooms. The second time I made it exactly the same way, but I used some beef that I had purchased at Wal-Mart. Still tasty, but HUGE difference in the texture. If you can afford it and you have room to store it, buy a portion of a cow. They don't add fillers to the meat at the butcher's like they do in stores.
