Quiche Lorraine I

Absolutely delicious! I used 8 slices of bacon instead of 6 and only half an onion (to suit my tastes). I also took the advice of another reviewer and used half & half instead of milk. It was a huge hit! Thanks!

French Onion Soup VIII

Absolutely delicious! I took the advice of different reviewers and reduced the amount of water to 1 cup, and also added 2 beef bouillon cubes (one of my cans of beef broth was "low-sodium" so I needed the extra kick from bouillon). Wonderful recipe that tastes just like it does in a restaurant. Thanks!

Taco Dip

It was good...I used 2 cans of beans, mixed some cream cheese in with the sour cream and cut back a little on the lettuce. I think for my personal taste I would have preferred less of the beans and maybe a thin layer of seasoned ground beef.

Deviled Eggs I

Like a lot of others, I livened up this recipe with some sweet pickle relish, a little bit of white vinegar, and dijon mustard. Also, instead of mixing the paprika in, I lightly sprinkled it over the deviled eggs as a garnish. 5 stars once I was done with it.

Beer and Brown Sugar Steak Marinade

This marinade was sensational! I used it on NY Strips and didn't have a lot of time to marinade the beef. Next time I will marinade it overnight so the flavors can soak in and I'll use a fattier cut of beef, like a tenderloin. But mmmmmmmmm...it was sooooo good. I used Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale (which is a dark, almost sweet tasting beer) and I think it gave it a flavor that my husband and I both love. Best marinade I've ever used! I'll keep this recipe around!!!

Apple Pork Chops

I was blown away by this recipe. I wasn't it expecting to have so much full flavor! I followed the advice of a few people and added cinnamon, rather than cloves, omitted the dry mustard, and added 2 more tablespoons of brown sugar. After cooking the onions in olive oil and setting them aside, I only returned them to HALF of the pork chops for baking, since my husband doesn't like onions. We were both VERY pleased with this meal and I will make it again!!!

Chutney Baked Brie

I'm sorry to say that I was not at all pleased with this recipe. I took it to a family outing and did not get the usual rave reviews that I usually get when I use recipes from Allrecipes.com. Maybe it's just not our taste...

Acapulco Chicken

This recipe was pretty good. It didn't knock my socks off, but it had a good taste and was quick and easy to make. I used canned green chilis instead of jalapenos, and canned diced tomatoes, since I didn't have any fresh tomatoes around. Also, I substituted hot taco sauce for the hot pepper sauce. I will definitely make this again.

Chocolate Mousse Cake IV

Unbelievably good! I layered some crushed Oreos (without the cream filling) onto the mousse in the middle of the cake to give it a little crunch. I also grated a dark chocolate Hershey bar and sprinkled on top of the finished cake - it gave it a really cool texture. I made this recipe for a friend's birthday. Most of the people at the party are in the restaurant business, so I had a tough crowd to please. They were so impressed with the cake! It was DELICIOUS! They didn't have a clue that I could cook, since I'm always eating THEIR food.

Brown Sugar Chops

This turned out perfectly for me. My husband thought it was delicious! I took some earlier written advice and added some worchestire sauce before baking. I also sprinkled more soy sauce and brown sugar, and broiled it at the end to give it a little glaze. My chops were only about 3/4 inch thick, so I baked with foil for 1/2 hour and broiled uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes.
