Grandma's Peach French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
Great recipe! I did not use peaches, as I did not have any. Also, I cut the recipe in half and layered the breads on top of each other in a smaller dish. Like a few commenters above me, I used Challah bread and added milk to the egg mixture. Came out great! Will make this again.

Avocado Shrimp Bisque

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
It is a pretty good recipe, but I think next time I'll make it I'll do some changes to it. First, the recipe definitely requires more spices - I added Italian, basil, garlic powder and more lemon juice then the recipe called for. Second, final result had too much chicken taste - that was, in fact, the dominant taste in the meal. So, next time I'll make it, I will use vegetable broth and add more avocados.

Charred Eggplant Raita

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I skipped the serrano peppers, but instead added canned diced tomatoes, some olives and garlic. It was very nice, albeit a little bit too tangy for my taste, hence, 4 stars. Otherwise, it is a really nice and tasty meal; will certainly make it again.

Floating Islands II

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
It came out really good. I cooked it very slow on a very low fire and it did not lump up for me. I added some cardamom into the egg whites (the floating islands things). That came out pretty good, though next time I think I'll add nutmeg into the custard base instead.
