My name is Samantha, and I'm a 20-something college student in Arkansas. I'm an anthropology major/art minor, and I'm interested in going to grad school for museum studies. I love finding new ways to express my creative side.
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking with chicken because it's so easy. And desserts...also easy, and pretty hard to mess up. I love experimenting with different flavors though, especially when I'm cooking some kind of meat or poultry. I REALLY love it when those experiments turn out to be delicious!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't know if we have any real family cooking traditions. Well, we always put sugar in our deviled eggs, which people always think is weird. I don't know why...they taste so much better with a little bit of sugar!
My cooking triumphs
I decided I wanted to invent something, and I had an idea for honey mustard chicken. I don't have the exact measurements, but I put some mayonnaise, yellow mustard, honey, and a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar...I was afraid it was going to be really bad, but it was so delicious, and my boyfriend told me it was one of the best things I have made!
My cooking tragedies
Well...this one time I made REALLY bad clumpy, mushy rice. It was funny because my mom had recently made the same mistake and my whole family made fun of her. I called my mom and told her I had done exactly the same thing, and she laughed at ME!
