Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Very delicious!! I did not have time to marinate overnight but 1 hour was good enough. I used sirloin that was on sale, sliced the meat thin myself - VERY TENDER! Added bokchoy because i need veggies with my chinese meal. The beef was so tasty and we were so hungry that I didn't get a chance to take a picture. Picture posted was after the leftover sat on the fridge for hours - it still looks pretty good! Love this recipe!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
Very delicious! The muffin is dense, moist and packed with banana flavor. I also add a little bit of vanilla though i really wanted to follow the recipe exactly.

Best Ever Split Pea

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
Very delicious pea soup. I like how it is pork-free! I used swanson's fat free, low sodium chicken broth. Since i dont have a seasoning blend, i added some black pepper and garlic. I would suggest adding only 1/2 teaspoon of salt or none until you finish cooking since it is already salty if you're using store-bought canned broth. Season to taste in your own bowl or when you're ready to serve. For color, I used only green peas and added a dash of cayenne, which also adds a nice kick. My family has split pea soup (erwtensoep in dutch) around christmas, it's a family tradition, and i love how easy this recipe is!

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
I had a lot of difficulty cutting my pie! It was a ittle too tough. Next time i will be sure to roll out the pie very thinly or maybe even treat the yeast with some warm water and letting it rise for a little bit. Maybe adding oil on the outside.

Thai Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Stayed true to the recipe on half the pie. Added hoisin sauce, chile sauce, thai sweet chile, vinegar, lime, cilantro, very small drop of soy sauce to the peanut sauce on the other half of the pie - I really like this modification which makes the sauce sweeter and spicier. Just another option :D

Love the custard inside!!! The outside shells did not come out as nice and puffy as shellie wendel's recipe.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
Makes really great puffy shell, would not deflate even if i want it to. I have a problem with making sure the inside is dry and keeping the outside nicely brown without being overly dark so i turn down the heat halfway. perfect!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
Very delicious shortbread cookie even though the first time i butchered the recipe due to shortage in the pantry. Used 2/3 cup of white sugar for baking (too lazy to make my own confectioner sugar), added 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract and drizzled chocolate on top. Either way, i think i got the essence of the cookie and achieved light cryspy airy shortbread cookies. Will make again.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
VERY CHOCOLATEY AND DELICIOUS. I'm not a big fan of chocolate and i love it. My choco-lover friends can't stop eating these cookies. Made these several times, tried substituting 1/3 of the sugar with brown sugar produces extra 'moistness?' to the cookies and really complements the chocolate. Also love to add white chocolate chips. YUM. Have been succesful cutting the recipe in half. I find that 8 minutes in my oven makes perfect cookies.
