Classic Goulash

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
Very good recipe, didnt turn out as soupy or liquidy as in some in the pictures but overall pretty good. Only changes I made were to add Wors. sauce as others suggested and omitted the onion and used a tbsp of dried onion. No garlic on hand so didnt use it. Pretty filling and and will be a few meals for us!

Egg in a Hole

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Interesting how we all seem to have different names for this, we called it a hole in one and did it a little differently, cut out the hole(sometimes using cookie cutters for different shapes) buttered both sides and the circle or shape, placed in frying pan, added egg, s&p, fried, flipped, enjoyed! dont forget to fry the bread removed from the centre, yum!

Ghirardelli® Magic Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2011
This was a good recipe, however theres a few things I had issues with, first in Canada our condensed milk is labeled by mL not FLOZ. and its 300 mL cans which is less than 14 fl oz but two would be too much. Also way too much chocolate on it for us so next time would half that, other than that it was very good, used walnuts as our nuts and liked those. 1 1/3 cup of coconut is way too much I dont even think i used a full cup and it was more than enough.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
I made this meatloaf twice, first as written then I changed what I needed to. I never measure milk and breakcrumbs so i eyeballed that and the meatloaf its self was ok, I put the sauce on top but just found that my family would still need to put a load of ketchup on it so the next day I made it again and doubled the glaze mixing half in to the load and the rest on top, MUCH better!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2010
I have never made an apple pie before, always bought store bought, I never will again. So easy, so yummy. I used pillsbury refridgerated dough and added some cinnamon. The worst thing was waiting long enough so it cool down enough to eat it!!!!!

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Very Good, the only changed I made was to add a little more cheese. My favourite thing about this is both sides were evenly browned unlike in the pan, I will never make grilled cheese in a pan again.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
I use this almost exact same recipe for cookies but I got it off of the peanut butter container. The only difference is that it is only 1/2 cup of sugar not one cup and I perfer it with less sugar.

Old Fashioned Coconut Drops

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Not horrible but not great. I too felt that there was not even close to enough liquid to hold everything together and had to use some water. I even omitted the raisins. These cookies need way more then 8 minutes with the size they are. Not sure if i would make again I feel like they are missing something.

Decorator Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Yum, not too sweet, perfect. I have to agree with some others it came out a little too thick for me however I loved that because I could make it the consistency I wanted by adding some milk. If i was going to make cookie sandwhichs the consistency it came out as would have been perfect. I was using this to frost the soft gingerbread cookies from this site and mmm it was yummy. Another thing I would have to agree with was that the color did seem streaky but that didnt bug me!

Soft Gingerbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
I cannot understand how people said these cookies tasted like flour or really bland... I had no issue with these at all. Very easy to make, very easy to roll just a little problem with them sticking. I only baked them 6 mins and they came out perfect, they tasted great without anything on it but since I am taking them to a party I wanted to decorate them and I used the decorators icing from this site. I have to stop eating them or i will have none for the party!

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
Nice recipe, confussing measurments. I only used a 300 ML can of con. milk because thats the only size here. It turned out good so it wasnt an issue. My big issue was I used parc. paper, sprayed with pam and still i could not get the cookies off the tray they stuck to the parc. paper and 3/4 had to have the bottom cut off because the paper stuck to them. I would make these again but try to think of a way to have them not stick again.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
This has got to be one of my fave recipies, I used a spaghetti sauce, so much easier. It tasted like a spaghetti without noodles stuffed in a pepper, Very yummy!

Stir-Fried Rice

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
Very good, however I did make a change to it, I did not boil my rice and veggies in the broth because I used ww rice and it takes longer. I heated the veggies up in the broth, cooked the rice, drained the broth, added the rice and slowly added the broth until it evaporated. Then I added the egg right before serving (which I dont get because ill be eating it and all of a sudden and egg chunk, seems weird) Anyways it was very very good and surprisingly filling.
