Dave's Coleslaw

There is nothing to be said that hasn't already been said. Besides that, it's not polite to talk with your mouth full.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2015
I followed the recipe with the exception of how I prepared my chicken and the crust. I used 2 HUGE chicken breasts, added onion, garlic, rosemary, and I used chicken base. I like it so much better than the granulated stuff. I wasn't sure if my bowls are oven safe, so I wound up using 2, 6 inch cast iron skillets, and I also used puff pastry. This is what a chicken pot pie should be. Thanks for sharing.

CindyD's Somewhat Southern Fried Chicken

Followed directions, except for marinating the chicken in butter milk and hot sauce for 4 hours, and after I fried the chicken I poured honey over it. Honey fried chicken, yum!

Sriracha Cheese Bread

Reviewed: May 30, 2015
I left out the cheese added a quarter cup of honey. I made dinner rolls. I put 3 balls about 2 tablespoons each into a muffin pan and baked as directed. Mine took 22 minutes. They are exactly what the potato soup needed! This recipe is delicious.

Kelley's Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: May 25, 2015
I've made this recipe twice. Once as written and the second time I used a large can of peachs that I sliced up and replaced the water with the peach juice and one cup of fresh blueberries, I still cooked them to get more flavor. I also replaced peach juice from the can for the milk in the batter. I lightly sprinkled sugar in the raw over it. One way was just as delicious as the other. I did cut back on the butter by half. It just doesn't need that much butter. I'd like to say that I served this with ice cream but it was gone before the ice cream got soft enough to dip. You could make any cobbler with this recipe. Just change the fruit up. I'm going to make apple cobbler next. Great tasting simple and inexpensive to make. What more could you want?

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: May 13, 2015
These turned out so good. I kneeded the dough in the bowl, why make a mess of you don't have to. I let the dough rise for about an hour, punched it down, made the buns, let them rise about 45 minutes brushed them with egg wash. They didn't Brown up like I wanted, but that is a issue with my propane oven. Next time I'll bust out the roaster oven. These are simple, fast, and delicious. I'll never buy buns again.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 9, 2015
I have made these 2 times. My store had loin roast on sale for 98 cents a pound so I wanted some new good recipes and found one here. The first time I made this exactly as written. I served this with mashed red potatoes and fresh green beans. The chops were melt in your mouth tender. The second time I made these I used a green bell pepper with the onion and a jalapeno pepper. I also used a cup of chicken base, 2 cloves of garlic and about a tablespoon of fresh Rosemary. Both ways were equally as delicious. Go for it. You're going to love it.

Jack's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2015
I followed the recipe as written the first time and added a little cream of tarter the second time. About an 8th of a teaspoon. They turned out "cracked" a bit more with the cream of tarter. I will add it from now on.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2015
I made these as written with the exception for needing more flour. I had to add half a cup more, but check your dough before you do because you might not need to. I also had to bake them about 12 minutes, but that's might just be the way my oven bakes, it's propane. All and all these cookies are the ones I will go to when I'm looking for a chocolate chip cookie. Awesome job on the recipe.mthanks for sharing!

Easter Eggs

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2015
I followed someone else's advise and put toothpicks in the end of them before freezing. Just about half way in did the trick. When you put the toothpick in and pick the egg up by it to set it on the tray, you can tell if its in good enough and adjust it a bit from there. I used cherry extract, no coconut, and after I dipped them in chocolate I gave them a good sprinkling of finely chopped peanuts. Then I made the mistake of passing them out to the neighbors. I finally resolved that issue by making another batch and enclosing this recipe. Yeah, these are just that good.

Banana Peanut Butter Cheesecake aka "The Elvis"

I made the recipe as written with the exception of the crust. The first cheesecake I used nutter butter peanut butter cookies, tossed them into the food processor, made an excellent crust. The next cheesecake I made with an Oreo cookie crust. Anyway you go with this, you can't go wrong.

Uli's Apple Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2015
This is one of those recipes that everyone should have or at least know about. I had some cabbage and apples I wanted to use and came across this recipe. I had everything on hand so why not? Today was the first time in the 21 years I've been with my husband that he ate the veggies before the meat and then ate more veggies with the meat. Awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Easy Breaded Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2015
I have never, ever had any kind of luck with coating and frying shrimp. I have a million great ways to prepare them other wise but not one single way to bread them and fry them till now. I used the 8 to 10 count and added some Cajun seasonings. Not only did they hold together, the crunch was there just how we like them.
