Tomato Mac 'n' Cheese

THE KIDS LOOOOVED THIS! (ages 8, 7, 6). Next time I will "hide" some spinach, since they asked for more and more. I didn't have prego; I had Trader Joe's organic tomato and basil marinara, which already had "green spots" in it, so I can up it a notch next time. This should surely make the list in Kid Friendly Recipes!

Broccoli Risotto with Cream and Lemon

I always try a recipe as is AND THIS WAS DELICIOUS!! Even though I didn't have cream (used whole milk) or chives. My 8 and 10 year olds enjoyed it even though they saw me chopping the onion...husband gobbled it up as well. THANK YOU!

Green Beans Amandine

YUMMY! And I DO NOT like green beans! Used skinny frozen beans (Trader Joe's) and didn't have any almonds on hand and it was GREAT. Browned the butter a bit before I added the other ingredients. THX for helping me eat my greens!

Zucchini Ranch Meatloaf

This was soooooo good! The kids (ages 9 and 11) loved it! I ADVERTISE to the kids that in my meals there are hidden veggies and can they identify them? They could not! P.S. we all wanted more of the ketchup/steak sauce blend! Double that for sure. Thanks for the recipe!

Tuna Fish Pea Salad

PERFECT! I used this recipe to make a tuna melt for the kids and we ALL loved it! Thank you! We used frozen peas (didn't have canned) and let them thaw in the tuna salad while we heated the bread and melted the cheese.

Spinach Brownies

HUGE HIT! Loved it, and had all the ingredients (except I used 2 10 oz. frozen, drained and squeezed chopped spinach). STILL getting requests for the recipe. THANK YOU!!! BTW, my 12 yr old girl gobbled these up, and my 10 yr boy old tolerated them.

Clam Sauce with Linguine

Followed the recipe exactly (as I always do first time out) and it was great! Hubby has european roots and when the kids said "gross mom, my bread got soggy!" (because the sauce is more of a thick broth than a sauce) I told them this is how true Italianos eat, so MOP IT UP! That changed everything and plates were cleaned. Didn't even wash 'em. Just put them on the shelves and ready for the next meal.

fantastic!!! perfect just as it is! 5-star review before i added chopped steamed broccoli and a layer of shredded cheese on top, to add some cheesy greens for the kids. they were able to dig through to the yummy goodness beneath, but i feel ok that they still were able to eat something that had green on it!! thank you for the solid recipe!!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

LOVED this recipe! I had all the ingredients except minced garlic (used garlic powder) and the chili seasoning mix (so I made my own from a recipe off this site : Chili Seasoning Mix II). Would never have considered adding JARRED salsa to a homemade chili, and I have no idea what it's impact is/was, but this chili was fan-effing-fantastic.

Shoyu Chicken

This chicken was PERFECT! If you don't like it too spicy cut the red pepper, cayenne and paprika in half. Interestingly, I found that doing this the chicken itself wasn't very spicy at all, but the boiled marinade was! My 10 - 15 year olds had seconds. Served with steamed rice and a spinach fritatta also from this site. NOTE: I had to bake the chicken (was out of propane for my grill, dangit) and it was soooo tender and yummy. Baked at 350 for 40 minutes, turning once. Probably basted it but can't remember cuz I had a glass of wine cuz I was so mad I couldn't grill it. Maybe 2 glasses. Doesn't matter.
