Asparagus Chicken Quiche

This was FANTASTIC! I used thin asparagus, fat-free half-and-half, and a frozen un-thawed pie crust. Delicious and beautiful. The tweens ate it with ZERO complaints (or compliments, to be honest. But who cares, right? They ate it!)

Baked Chicken Nuggets

Loved 'em. At first bite my 11 year old "No, thank you." Then he started getting hungry watching the rest of us gobble away and he tried one again and ended up eating 4 or 5. The kids dipped them in ketchup and I dipped mine in creamy caeser dressing. Yum! Will make again, just as is. thank you!!

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Yeah, this really was fantastic. So easy, so flavorful. Our tweens loved it. Ran out of butter, so I used some of my precious burnt butter with garlic stash, along with the soy sauce, and oh my. Amazing. Thank you thank you for such a simple and totally delicious recipe!!!!

Flank Steak Pinwheels

This was terrific even though I was only able to marinate for 30 minutes! I also didn't use flank steak (some sort of meat recall) so I used a thinly pounded flat round tip. Again, fantastic, and thanks!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

I loved this, but my hubs, 13 and 11 year olds didn't. I have no idea why. They must notta been in the mood? As always, I made it without alterations the first time, except, and I know I'm contradicting myself now, but I used half and half instead of whole cream. No biggy, right? I think my crew is getting picky cuz this was great, and would also be awesome with clams instead of shrimp!

Honey BBQ-Marinated Chicken Drumsticks

I thought this had great flavor! I always try a recipe exactly as written for the first time, unless I don't have the ingredients, and in this case I used orange juice instead of lemon, and tabasco instead of hot chili sauce (what IS hot chili sauce, btw?). Also my grill is outta fuel and my BRAND NEW broiler sucks so I had to crisp the skin on my Foreman. That was a buzz kill, but the flavor was yummmmm.

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

I only had time to make the meat and it was to DIE FOR! Didn't have limes so I added a couple turns of lemon pepper. Marinated it for about 2 hours. Can't wait to make it with the other stuff! YUM!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

I thought the flavor was fantastic but my meatballs didn't look cooked through so I kept cutting them in half and again and again. So that increased the cooking time by another 30 minutes. I'll absolutely try this again but with cooking or at least browning the balls before I toss them in.

Shoyu Chicken

This chicken was PERFECT! If you don't like it too spicy cut the red pepper, cayenne and paprika in half. Interestingly, I found that doing this the chicken itself wasn't very spicy at all, but the boiled marinade was! My 10 - 15 year olds had seconds. Served with steamed rice and a spinach fritatta also from this site. NOTE: I had to bake the chicken (was out of propane for my grill, dangit) and it was soooo tender and yummy. Baked at 350 for 40 minutes, turning once. Probably basted it but can't remember cuz I had a glass of wine cuz I was so mad I couldn't grill it. Maybe 2 glasses. Doesn't matter.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

LOVED this recipe! I had all the ingredients except minced garlic (used garlic powder) and the chili seasoning mix (so I made my own from a recipe off this site : Chili Seasoning Mix II). Would never have considered adding JARRED salsa to a homemade chili, and I have no idea what it's impact is/was, but this chili was fan-effing-fantastic.

Mom's Favorite Baked Mac and Cheese

fantastic!!! perfect just as it is! 5-star review before i added chopped steamed broccoli and a layer of shredded cheese on top, to add some cheesy greens for the kids. they were able to dig through to the yummy goodness beneath, but i feel ok that they still were able to eat something that had green on it!! thank you for the solid recipe!!
