I've never had traditional chicken parmesan, so I can't compare this recipe to a traditional one. I really liked this though! So easy to make, throw it in the oven and forget about until it's done baking. I think you could sub cooking spray for the olive oil on the bottom of the casserole dish. I crushed my cheesey garlic croutons and sprinkled them on top. Only had mozz cheese. I would make this again. I used frozen Kroger brand chicken cutlets (they are flattened out for you already)and added 10 minutes to the cooking time since they were still frozen. Perfectly cooked.
